Koroma to Akron

    via Top Drawer. 3 U17MNT players already committed. Looks like this year will be the anomaly.

    We'll see. A lot can happen between now and matriculation.

    TDS also reported Marc Pelosi verballed to UCLA. Then he signed with Liverpool, which also signed last year's Washington recruit Vilyan Bijev. And ask Steve Burns about this after he lost two of his verbals to Europe this time last year.

    Not saying Koroma won't be a Zip. I am saying he could get a pro offer he can't refuse between now and the start of fall classes and never play a game for Akron.

    Very true ^^. The verbal looks great on paper, but let's wait until signing day to get too excited.

    I fully expect it. His U17 cycle ended a few months ago. If a pro club was going to step in for him, it would very likely have happened already.

    With Darren Mattocks likely on his way out, Koroma to Akron seems like a perfect fit.

    As do I. Dillon Serna was (supposedly) approached by Rapids to sign as an HGP and turned it down in favor of Akron.
