I think Ream has heard so much about how good his passing is that he tries dumb stuff now instead of being safe. He's given up too many goals on wayward passes out of the back where he tried to get cute and mishit. Backe is going to get fired. And he should. Hopefully someone will come in who will actually develop Ream and Agudelo and get them moving forward again instead of treading water or regressing. Too much talent to waste, it really is a shame.
Never liked Marquez much since he exemplified the original "ardido" with his takedown of Cobi Jones in the 2002 World Cup. But this is very unfortunate for NY and for MLS. I hope he's regretting his comments today. It can't be easy to be jeered by your home fans just for stepping on the field, and it probably got to him, even though he claimed not to hear. He called Tim Ream's decision making "infantile" - maybe that's a translation... yikes. There should be mandatory counseling for these DP's before they ever step on the field for MLS, before they ever sign. Their expectations are often so out of the realm of realistic, and if they think their teammates are going to be consistently at their level, they are just dumb. Marquez is looking dumb, petulant and arrogant today.
Very funny stuff. Yep it's safe to say that the fans of NY have to laugh to keep from crying. I don't think St. Jude is going to save New York. By the time we face them, they are out of the playoffs.
Meanwhile … in Los Angeles Ellen DeGeneres had David Beckham on her US chat show last week where he was happy to indulge in some Candid Camera frolics. Claiming to be an Australian called Ricky, he wore a supermarket uniform, specs and a baseball cap to sell bottles of his eponymous aftershave in store. DeGeneres told him what to say via an earpiece, had him accosting shoppers by spraying their legs with scent, singing "If you stink, come and buy cologne", serenading a customer with Lady in Red and enticing someone to steal a bottle. Golden Balls becomes the Jeremy Beadle of shopping malls.
he wasn't much of a goal keeper... unfortunately only Brits and Irish people will get the reference.... Kaburu the average American will just not get this. He was a TV presenter who is remembered for "funniest video" TV programs, a very minor celebrity (died in 2008) he also had a deformed hand...
Eriksson made the comments in a £10-a-head question-and-answer session with football fans at The Starr Inn in Leicester An audience member at the pub said: ‘Sven was asked if he had ever tried to sign Beckham for Leicester City. He hesitated, then said he did meet up with Beckham and his wife at an event and spoke to him with a view to getting him to sign for Leicester.’ The 63-year-old said he raised the prospect of a loan transfer with Beckham during a conversation while they were at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in London in December (2010). He said the move was snubbed by the player’s wife, who told him: ‘Sven, can you really see me in Leicester?’ Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...ester-Becks-ruled-Midlands.html#ixzz1YwrKjSk6
You know, I was going to make some snarky comments about guys who allow their wives to influence where they play because they want to live someplace "fashionable," but then I realized that's probably part of why we have Beckham and Keane. Not my most brilliant train of thought.

That looks like the "custom Indian" he was trying to identify on Facebook before he dropped down the cash to buy it.
