Great build up by the Sounders resulting in an OG. Seattle did dodge a bullet earlier but clearly deserve this resounding victory.
Agreed. I am a homer, but I guess CONCACAF officials are just BS all around equally. I'm just cynical from last year (as an RSL fan you would understand) Either way, Seattle dominated after going down to 10 men, had a penalty kick denied earlier in the game and it would be 3-2 anyway with about 10 minutes left. Oh, and Seattle just scored.
That goes down as an own goal, but that was a BEAUTIFUL sequence by Seattle. If the defender doesn't put it in his own net, it's gonna be slammed in at the back post by the Sounders player anyone. Great interplay there.
Thanks. Sullivan was talking about some tackle or elbow that led to the red card, and it made absolutely no sense.
Sucks that MLS has scheduled both the Rapids and Dallas game at the same time - I'll probably have to go with the Dallas Pumas game as being the more compelling. What happened in the Alijuelense vs Morelia game?
So Pumas is going into this with their "youth squad" - probably because they don't take Dallas or their group stage opponents seriously. Here's to hoping that Dallas will teach Pumas' youth "a lesson" and their squad about "hubris"
Ha. That's what I thought too. Or that it was a reference to THE Edgar, but that wouldn't have made sense.
my yound son mod Alajuelense is the best club in Costa Rica and has dominated saprissa for a good 3 years now, they dominated most of of the game ...
Not only that, but Edgar is probably one of the least likely guys to use foul and abusive language. Heh.
I was with an Alajuelense fan tonight - we were hurrying to finish help someone move out of their house so we could get to watching CCL games. He gave me a sweet CDA jersey earlier this year, so I have a rooting interest of sorts.
The shock in your response would sound strange to anyone who followed the old CONCACAF Champions Cup since the beginning of the past decade.
