    The teams play tomorrow.

If you wear a Man United jersey to the game then you need to change your signature to "I'm Sounders Til Manchester United come to town!"

Lets say someone is a diehard fan of Fresno State basketball. They go to all their games and wear their jersey and colors all the time. Then one day Duke schedules an exhibition match against Fresno State. You go to that game and you see that same person wearing a Blue Devils jersey.....wouldn't that just seem kind of off?

I look at this the same exact way.

So wearing my Man U Jersey over my Ljunberg jersey makes me a lesser fan?

Isn't this an oxymoron? A real Sounders fan would NEVER have the other team's gear on.

I've seen other jerseys at Sounders games and as long as they aren't a MLS team, I doubt they catch any flak. The difference here is that the Sounders are actually playing ManU.. Expect to get smack talk. If you can't take it, don't wear the jersey.

Another believer in the Freddie-the-Anchor bullshit. How quickly everyone forgets how he carried us into the playoffs in 2009.

Actually I think we made the playoffs IN SPITE of him not BECAUSE of him, don't get me wrong the guy had talent and definitely was a factor in making the playoffs but his cons way outweigh his pros(keep in mind this is just my opinion).

*laugh* You clearly didn't see how Ljungberg played in the last month or two of the 2009 season.

Not sure what logic you're basing that on. Multiple assist games, dictated control and pace of the game, he carved up Dallas and St. Louis in must win games.

Man U. Will prolly win this match granted the Sounders will play well for the huge crowd that is expected. So unless Wayne Rooney makes a complete transformation to Shrek the only reason afterwards people might remember this match for is because of those scarfs that are made for the occasion. I personally have nothing against friendlies and this is our only one so its not that bad and will generate some buzz I suppose but I am personally more excited for the rest of the season, upcoming CL match, and USOC. So I could care less about the score tonite, hope some of the reserves get some minutes, the team has fun playing some quality players on the World's most valuable franchise and that no one gets hurt for either side. Hope everyone who is going has fun tonite.

    Seriously.

    It's a friendly.

I lived in SW6 before I lived in Seattle so when Chelsea came to town I wore my Lampard jersey w/ my Sounders hat and scarf. I got ribbed - "FAT FRANK!" - and have no problem with that. I know I'm Sounders till I die, and am secure enough as a Sounders fan to be happy to also support my previous hometown team when they come to town. If other Sounders fans can't deal with that, it's their problem.

To put it another way, I recently moved to the Nashville area. While it's an extreme long shot, at least any time soon, I'd support an MLS to Nashville movement simply because I like to support local footy. I'd buy season tickets. I'd even buy a jersey. But when the Sounders come to town you better believe I'll be in my rave green. Does that mean I should "GTFO" of Nashville?

PS - I'm more than a little perturbed I couldn't get back to Seattle for this game for the simple reason that I *HATE*Manchester United (see "Foe").

When it comes to European clubs, I support the Green-and-White of VfL Wolfsburg (they're the club owned by Volkswagen AG) in Bundesliga in Germany, but in the MLS, I am definitely Sounders 'til I Die!!!

If you don't believe me, check out my teams, you don't see Manchester United in there anywhere, do ya? I hope the Sounders stick it to Sir Alex Ferguson and the world-famous Red Devils!!!

    BRING ON MAN U!!!

The Johnsonville Brats will be on the Foreman Grill, The onion rings and tater tots will be golden brown, and I am definitely cheering for the Rave Green and Capital Blue of the Seattle Sounders, and soon, I will be wearing both jerseys from the first 2 seasons (the ones from 2009-2010, I don't dig the "bra-strap" look on the backs of the new 2011-2012 unis, sorry :( ), both the home Rave Green and away Capital Blue, and maybe even get my grubby Port Townsend-based (yes there ARE Sounders supporters and fans here on the Olympic Peninsula, including myself and my the Love Of My Life since 1989 Alice Yantz) hands on one of the remaining Electricity Yellow ones as well!!!

SOUNDERS 'TIL I DIE!!!... and if anyone has a problem with it, stay off this thread, and mainly, stay away from CenturyLink Field tonight, especially if you happen to be wearing either the ManU AON or AIG on the front of your shirt!!! We all know who you are reppin' if you do!!!

I'm watching right now on FSC- LIVE as I speak, so far Man U is speaking more with quality shots, especially the one from Miuchael Owen, which holds up to be the difference in this match, rather than the quantity of shots like the Sounders are doing right now, Kasey Keller made a few terrific saves but how long can we stave them off 'til we get our shot, only time will tell that.
