I understand all the hate Torrado got throughout the whole tournament, he deserved most of it. But today he rose to the occasion when we needed him the most once Marquez had to leave the game and we lost our leader, Torrado made junior and the german his bitches all game long.

Having said that, after watching Enriquez, Cabrera and Dos Santos play earlier today against Ecuador, I feel very optimistic about our midfield in the the next couple of years.

Note: we gotta thank and give props to Chepo de la torre this coach had me second guessing at first but he won my Trust he injected this players with a strong mentality to overcome adversity. Congrats Chepo you're the man!

 

lmao has to be a joke. It's almost word for word.

 

Both players have been solid players but people can't help but criticize them for any perceived failure of the entire team.

Both of those two are defensive players first and foremost but people criticize them constantly for not being xavi/iniesta.

We need two defensive mids that are capable of breaking up counters and covering a tremendous amount of ground. Our offense is superb but it compromise our backline with all the runs forward by our wingbacks.

Castro and Torrado cover up the defensive weakness of all the bombing forward by our backs and wingers.

Gio/Barrera/Guardado have lite defensive duties because of the great defensive play by Castro/Torrado. They get to focus on creating and only have to apply light pressure when defending.

Basically those two free up our attacking players to do what they do best, Attack all game long.

Yet, all the hating on here is they can't pass, they can't pass, they can't pass!!!

Lots of people ignore the great defensive plays and ball recovery and focus exclusively on them not being great offensive players.
