I've seen him a few times. Well, I've seen him on telly more accurately. He played for Brazil against... er... the jocks I believe. Good player but I didn't like his attitude in that one vid where he threw a hissy fit when he couldn't take a pen that would make drogs blush.

Mind you, he was still a kid then I guess. Hopefully he's grown out of that kind of ting.

He hasn't. I watch the copa libertadores frequently and he loves to dive.and has somewhat of an attitude problem. I couldn't imagine him in Barcelona.

He's the typical talented kid that has got famous and rich much too young and consequently acts like a spoiled brat. He's still very raw in every aspect.

Any news on Reus and Marin. Probably better to talk about in the Other Team's Thread. Also is Farfan being linked away from Schalke 04?

Not to that extreme, because im sure Neymar would try much harder and has more talent than Balotelli. Balotelli is in his own league imo.

If it happens, it'll be another dick move by Anderlecht. They will essentially be using Chelsea's money to weaken a direct rival...

I wouldn't overpay for Nasri. He's played one good half-season for Arsenal. He's not exactly the second coming of Bob Pires yet.

He has played most of last season on the left flank, but he himself would prefer a more central position. He has a great shot with either foot but his truly elite skill is the range of passes and vision he has at his disposal.

I'm anxious to see some of the fresh rumors/lies that come out now that AVB is official

Agree, Neymar is far better than Balotelli and his attitude is not in the same League for the better also; he is 18, his attitude seems no worse than most pampered 18 year old athletes or for many 18 year old in general (codger alert) and does seem to have improved slightly already and seems to me, along with his diving, in the realm that can be fixed with proper coaching and team leadership and example, which he would get here (heck even Deco 's diving and antics were kept mostly in check here)

Watching him recently for Brazil he shares the ball more than I thought and 100 times more than Baloteli has ever. What I really love is how much and naturally he dribbles and plays full stop with his head up looking for teammates and his movement.

Personally I think the odds have shifted from him coming here :( but after initial skepticism I am becoming quite convinced he is the real deal and has a fairly good shot of becoming one of the best around

i think either 1 of 2 things will happen with neymar:

    a) he'll stay for another 2 seasons at santos as they have their 100th year the season after this one that just started, and will leave around 20yo, which is still young

    b) leo messi will make him look like shit in the copa america, resulting in his ego leading him to demand a move to a bigger club, weather or not it'll be chelsea is unkown

    just my guess

That woudl imply that the greatest player on this earth may he live forever and ever would have to actually do something while playing for his country.

Looks like a recalibration and a priority change of transfer targets is coming.

If AVB employs a 4-3-3, what is our dream 3 on top? Torres, Drogba, Neymar/Aguero/Sturridge/Falcao? And who are our dream wingers and mids?

Just my 2 pesos, but I don't care if Neymar is a spoiled brat, I want him for what he does on the pitch; I figure he'll be humbled enough in the PL and CL to tone it down a bit. Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, etc., were all spoiled and pains in the ass...but they delivered a lot.

too bad this is from twitter cuz it sounds awesome

neymar would be fantastic, a winger who can drift anywhere

under am AVB 433 there isnt really a need for a number 10

So no real need for a playmaker? Are you referring to players like Modric? Just trying to get a clear picture in my head. :)

I'm looking forward to see what changes AVB makes. It will be interesting to see what he does.

i'm surprise a player like modric wouldn't be wanted. he is a dynamic midfielder that we need. not necessarily a number 10, but creative, works hard, amazing passing and movement. seems like he would be great in the 4-3-3.

Agreed though maybe AVB is thinking that he wants another player along those lines and just not Modric (possibly someone from Porto?) or he is going to use someone already at Chelsea to try and fill that role?

Don't believe the so called 'reports'. AVB said he is going to evaluate the players we have and only then think about the posibility of transfers:

“Agora a imprensa vai apontar o meu nome como alguém que vai fazer mudanças radicais no clube. Mas isso não vai acontecer, vou observar o que se passa no clube, definir prioridades e respeitar os jogadores que temos. Só depois poderemos olhar para o mercado e pensar na possibilidade de contratar alguém. Mas primeiro quero receber os jogadores e fazer uma avaliação do plantel

I actually met Lebron once, asked him if he had change for a dollar and he gave me 75 cents, he said he didn't have a fourth quarter.

    :D

But seriously, I think we're going to see a lot of offensive-minded, goal-scoring, seething, slobbering monks thirsting for goals targeted by AVB. Would not surprise me at all if Falcao and Neymar both come in, or Aguero, along with a midfielder/winger with goals on his mind but can assist with the best of them.

Just very offense-minded players. In that regard, I like Turan, but that ship might've sailed now. Thiago, Pastore, Moutinho, there's others AVB will target.
