We'll have an option to recall him in the 2012 summer. I'd hoped he would be loaned out to a EPL team, but HSV isn't to bad just as long as he get's lots of minutes on the pitch.
Twatter going crazy with reports that Neymar has signed for Madrid for 32 million euros , and will have an annual salary of 2 ME. I hope we didnt put all our eggs into the one basket
Just heard some disturbing news. I'm listening to the football show, they are reporting Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Santos for a 5 year deal with Neymar for 32 million pounds. Supposedly they have shut down betting on him joining Madrid. If this is true that's complete bullshit! It's the Robinho deal all over again. The last I heard we offered 30 million, you're telling me we couldn't match or beat Real's offer?
Not over until it's on Real's site. I think we are still frontrunners. If we can drop 50m on Torres we can do whatever it takes to get a guy with this high of a ceiling
Not too worried about seeing Neymar go to Madrid, really. Would have been a very risky buy for us, and I'd prefer to see that money go toward signing a player like Sanchez or Adam Johnson.
In many ways Neymar reminds me of Robinho....in many ways. I don't think that move is what the team needs. AJ would be perfect.
How is Sanchez any less risky? Who was the last player from Italy who has succeeded in England? It may actually be Zola.
This sounds a bit worrisome "Gourlay says there is unlikely to be a mass influx of new faces. "As far as players are concerned, the basis of the team will be the same for next season," he added. "There may be an introduction of two or three players. We've identified key players that we'd like to bring to the team, players who can strengthen the team but of course we'll probably have to wait until the new coach is in place" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/14/chelsea-guus-hiddink If Anelka ans Malouda are our starting wings next year and we have not added dynamic creativity violence will insue
It is about the player not the League, and how many of the very top Italian League players have actually come over period the last few years and Aquilani ain't one of those Tevez, Aguerro, Suarez, DiMaria, are probably more apt comparisons to his background really, would not mind having any of those
I hope its that simple and we get Aguerro, or Sanchez, cause Neymar I think is Real's my early optimism is waning
Can't help thinking the computer desk is OK mate. It's the liquid lunch a little while ago that's your problem.
Someone else who's been 'on the pop' at lunchtime. Jesus fellas... take some water with it, will yer?!
I was beginning to wonder that too. I keep hearing people mention his name and thought, 'Maybe I'm missing something'?
Does anyone know if Spain has regulations banning/against 3rd party owners? Are such prohibitions FIFA/UEFA wide or just England? That seems to be the problem (again). If they dont that would give Spain a distinct advantage in finding/purchasing talent from Latin America, etc.
Well that is shitty. If we held off on Torres I'm sure we would have splurged on a far more useful player in Neymar. Oh well.
I'm not giving up on any of our targets. Not Neymar, not Pastore, not Modric, not Sanchez, not Aguero, not Willian, not Lukaku, not anybody. I am jaded enough to know that what is in the media is 95% hooey. I'll give up when it is official on a team's official website. C'mon, Guus. Question: Is Neymar THAT much better than Sanchez? Udinese are asking 35 mil for Sanchez while Neymar is far above that.
