Does anyone know what's going on with Guzan? He returned from Hull but wasn't on the bench last week. The other GK is a 36 year old journeyman that hasn't played a game in 2 seasons.

I haven't heard anything but I think its pretty clear that little Brad is on his way out in the summer. It's unfortunate because he wasn't really given much of a chance but I think Houllier wants to bring in his own keeper.

Bradley didn't make the bench. Sad times.

Neither of the younger Bradley's made the bench, the older Bradley starts. Andy Marshall is a 36 year old that got turned down by a League One team and hasn't played a first team game in 2 years...does Guzan have some clause in his contract related to bench appearances?

Friedel is going to have a busy day with the way Stoke play and the way Villa defend set pieces. He's already made one great save on Jones.

Stoke about to take their 7th corner and it's only the 15th minute.

Now we have a Rory Delap ball drying and throw-in fest. Jones scores off of one, no chance for Friedel to stop that header.

    1-0 Stoke

Great header by Bent, from a couple steps inside the box off the post and in. 1-1 Assisted by Walker.

Villa are pretty lucky to be tied at this point. Stoke have outworked and outmuscled them all game.

Just saw the highlights of this one, and that was an excellent header from Bent.

    1-1 FT

Probably a fair result, Villa were on top for most of the second half. Friedel had a good game, though he was far less busy in the second half.
