I was there.....were you Mr Armchair? Not one report has said you deserved a point, you had 1 shot on target.
out of line: Name calling, trolling to start a fight. IMO wolves played like crap in the first half and we should have put several away. We know what our boys did wrong but considering the ref let wolves hack us down (and a Liverpool fan I know even admitted they got away with murder ) doesn't make it easier to believe they deserved that point they got. Now, you are entitled to your opinion and Sticky is entitled to think wolves suck if he wants to... So far he hasn't said anything for me to warn him over. However, you are antagonizing him and I'm not going to take it. I'm sick and tired of the petty bs that's been in this forum. Consider this 2nd warning against trolling. You come to an Everton board, of course we're going to say we hate wolves. We're Evertonians. We hate everyone except our Royal Blue Boys.
Gotta agree with Sticky, Wolves are gash. Long ball after long ball after long ball, then when they haven't got the ball, they're all for showing what they learnt at the Paul Scholes school of tackling.
It's a fact we've got more gifted players, and tend to play a better passing game than you guys. Quit being a prick. It's just the truth.
At least Villa's performance today give me some hope for next week. They definitely have some ewaknesses
If the game was kicking the shit out of the other team you would be champions. Would rather watch US football than watch ur lot
That's your best post on this thread. Anyway, disappointing result. Everton controlled the game and of course, as seems to happen way too often, give up one chance and it's in the back of the net. Beckford did look good, and I think he's going to be a good one for us. Pienaar was very quiet (and yes, he was getting hacked down quite a bit). And I know we got a goal off the resulting FK, but how in hell is the ref standing three feet away ... and doesn't see the takedown as a PK?
If any of you watch it again Heitinga clearly brings his legs together which gives him no balance and makes the challenge appear worse, and it was probably his intent to do so and get the referee to stop play. It worked earlier in the match when Wolves had a break but were forced to put the ball out of play for Everton players crawling around on the ground. I'm not too convinced that that Everton has superior talent. Wolves got their tactics wrong at the beginning, recognized it, made a change and got themselves back in the game. It can be argued that, in the end, it was Wolves who looked like getting a winner.
So a flying lunge is only a foul if the opposing player doesnt take action to escape it? LOL As for not convinced we have superior talent, on what planet do you live on?
You have superior talent that couldn't beat inferior talent. Not because you were bullied, but because you couldn't get it done. Get over it.
Err that would be no. Yes we didnt play to our best but that doesnt excuse disgusting tactics in which your team should have seen red a couple of times at least and your equalising goal was as a result of yet another of these challenges
A planet where tackles don't have crazy names. Flying lunge? This isn't pro wrestling, they aren't wearing facepaint. It was a great tackle, he won the ball. It's understandable to have a biased opinion but yours is lacking common sense. Consider your player ratings The camera replays show that he fouled Jody Craddock to get the ball. Yet you fail to mention it. Anyways, good luck for the rest of the season.
No ur right its meant to be a game of football. Perhaps you could remind Mick what that means. It doesnt mean disgusting tackles that havent been seen at GP since the 1966 world cup when Eusebio was hacked. You clearly dont have any understanding of the game
Dear Lord. There isn't ONE Wolves player I'd have in our starting lineup or even on our bench. That's no knock. Just factual observation. Hey great !!! You guys got a draw out of us at Goodison. Well done. But I don't need to "convince" you of our superior talent. Go ask any neutral. They'll tell you which squad has better talent.
If we're talking about the tackle on Heitinga which lead to your goal, no, it wasn't a great tackle. I've seen yellow and red given for studs up challenges like that one. It was a foul that wasn't called. Pure, simple, and fact based. ...and someone brought up lacking common sense?
Honestly, when I saw it live I thought it was clean (from the angle on TV). When they showed the replay, I was shocked there was no card on that play.
Exactly, if you're sitting with the pigeons, yeah clean as a whistle. Down on the field, every man knew that was a bad tackle.
