Each team can have three DP's, although they need to pay a "fine" of sorts in order to have that third DP.
Dave Checketts intimating Ronaldinho to L.A. Galaxy... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=809023&sec=transfers&cc=5901
It would be great to get his left hand and print and have him sign it. Then I can frame it with an engraving that reads "Hand of a fcuking cheater"
In "News of the Obvious": Brent Latham argues that Thierry Henry's arrival in the MLS is not David Beckham, take two. - duh. Wonder who he's arguing with... Jim Rome? That's almost as funny as what I read elsewhere a couple days ago: "Henry may be a household name for even casual US fans, but...." Yep not a day goes by I dont mention him to the missus...
Better chance for Ronaldo then Ronaldinho I would think. If hes going to move and it's mroe than likely going to be his last move I would think that his home country has a HUGE advantage.
Not quite what "household name" means. More like if you mention the name to her, you don't have to explain who he is.
I got that.. that's my point. If I mention David Beckham, she knows I aint gonna be talking about Posh. If you mention Thierry Henry in any sort of context of sport, isnt the nibs gonna think 'must be some soccer player'?
Ronaldo is currently trapped beneath a 1 ton cheeseburger and he is attempting to eat his way free. I highly doubt it.
I'm just saying. I see about a 0 chance of Ronaldhino moving to MLS. Has to be a different person here.
Maybe the corporate guys at RB think this way, but the sporting side seems to dominate their recent moves. The only reason Henry won't be available for this match is because he just started training today and isn't ready to play. Which works out well for Crew fans (the ones that care more about results than seeing Henry) because you have to think they stand a better chance winnign facing an Henry-less side. They didn't really go over the top in NY with the signing so i think the "first match" hype really is not a major concern.
Its official, Henry will be here tomorrow. Not playing. But here. Get out your Irish flags and middle fingers.
Will he be on the bench with his teammates, or will he be watching the game from a suite? Being of Irish heritage myself, if he's on the bench I'd love to take advantage of my 3rd row seats behind the bench to give him a piece of my mind.
I am with you, I can always dig up my Irish Brigade flag or we could sing, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjMrPgk1eU8"]YouTube- Irelands call[/ame] I am in the same section.
If the Crewzers halftime show is not choreographed (and I use that term loosely) to P!nk's "U And Ur Hand" I will never forgive them.
Heh. Remember when the plan was that the BJ's were going to be called the Mad Cows and we would throw pig hearts on the ice? If you are throwing frog legs, only throw the left ones.
Henry took a little heckling as he was leaving the box after the match: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQWRT-huaNY&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- Thierry Henry Heckeled at Crew Stadium[/ame]
If the heckler is an Ireland fan, I don't have any problem with it. For those who didn't see it, it was Henry, escorted by police, walking down the concourse while a heckler yelled "Ireland, Ireland, Ireland", and "handball" at him. As a Crew fan I don't see the point in heckling someone who isn't going to play against us, but if I were an Ireland fan, I'd take any chance I got to heckle Henry.
