Really classes from Ivory Coast, I hope Brazil contest that second-yellow/red card. Kaka didn't do a thing to deserve that.

I hope Elano is ok. He has been nothing but brilliant with Brazil. Almost becoming my favorite player. I hope all is well.

They can't contest it I think.

Regardless though, it's Kaka's fault for putting himself in that position. Should Keita be reprimanded? Of course, he was pathetic. But that's a separate issue. Kaka was immature at the end of that game and acted like a rich kid with a sense of entitlement for a bit there.

The second Goal was clearly a mistake from none other than MELO..

I agree, the first yellow was spot on, I guess the first yellow had more of an effect on the mind of the ref than the actual second yellow.

Melo was in the middle, he was not the only guy keeping Drogba onside and he was not Drogba's marker. He should have challenged better but someone should have been running in with Drogba since he was offside.

I agree. I noticed that too. Two games and two goals allowed because of laziness from the DM. Dunga should get that fixed before it screws Brazil.

Laziness overall, I agree. They need to be smacked around and need to wake up a little. First on completing passes and reaching the ball before their opponent. Second on defensive mistakes after being ahead late in the game.

unfair red to Kaka, weak referee, and Brazil are getting better each game. Felipe mello had a better second half but he needs to wake up and Daniel alves was so excited that his game didn't shine, he should be more calm.

    To Ivory Coast... evil players.

Melo was at fault for the goal but he was excellent overall IMO. He broke up several passes and distribute pretty well. Both he and G. Silva were great I felt.

I am still not worried about the defense. Today game confirm my that when we meet a very capable team. We are 100% focused on defense but it also proves when get cofortable we gett lazy defensively.

He is automatically out for one match. More matches requires action by FIFA I think and I doubt he'd get multiple matches for that.

Melo definitely looked solid protecting the left side and that made me very happy. Also, who would've predicted that when the game got chippy late he'd be one of the least likely players to get a red card!

Makes me wonder if its because of playing at a high altitude. They seemed a little sluggish in both games.

MELO and G.Silva had excellent game.. Melo looked great until Drogba scored...Drogba was not able to get past Lucio ,so he tried his luck by shifting to right and it worked...Melo didn't see him coming I think.

Congrats for the victory. Fully deserved and you are clearly dominating this group.

How are the feelings if the knock out stage would mean a Brazil vs Spain partido ?

Brazil was well prepared for Ivory Coast. I don't see how Dunga's very well oiled machine stalling anytime soon.

Some of the officiating is disgrace including this one. One of the most gentlemanly players got red carded. I must confess that Fab's second goal should never been counted. Irrespective Brazil was going to win the game. I hope Elano will be available in the second round. He was very productive so far.

Anyone surprise that so far we have not scored from 1 set-piece or counterattack. Bar the 2nd Fabiano goal, all the goals have come from solid build ups.

I am. Hopefully we have some in us for the elimination games, but it's definitely a positive that four out of five goals have been built by the team, including a couple of nice assists by Kaka.

According to others in the post-game press conference he took a hard knock but it's nothing more. Hopefully that's confirmed shortly.

I was disappointed with Robinho at about the 3rd minute when Kaka was running on his right (marked) and he could have played a ball to Fabiano running to his left and chose instead to launch a wayward shot from 25-30 yards.

I with Robinho guess you take the good with the bad, but he needs to cut out such play.

I feel the need to rephrase my previous post. I was blowing off steam and didn't realize how out of line I was. Yes, IC was disgraceful for resorting to unnecessarily rough studs up fouls after being down 0-2, but we weren't any better by letting such petty things get to us as well as Luis Fabiano pleading to the ref that he didn't do anything wrong.

If you find yourself using handball tactics but don't want to admit it, that's shameful enough. No need to go any further by lying about it.

The ref smiling to LF and touching his own arm was shocking. It's also largely his fault the game heated up in such a manner. He wasn't controlling/protecting the players the way he should have. The officiating in this WC is probably the worst I've ever seen.

Well, as for the game, we were sloppy and have a lot of tidying up to do. Bastos had a particularly off game.

Kaka was horrendous despite the two assists. Sluggish, clumsy, bad touches and about a million balls lost. Luis Fabiano proves again he is one deadly finisher, if anyone still doubted him. Still until these guys win it I'm far from feeling confident about their ability
