okay so we know we haven't even begun 2010, but like the title ensinuates...never too early to start on 2014.

what shall we begin with?? well our squad for UNCAF and Copa De Oro, next year the winner goes to the Confed Cup. With this said...what do you think our squad will look like for Copa De Oro...UNCAF will most likely field local players, or MLS based player.

Who do you think will emerge as a surprise within our squad...and do you picture Andy Najar in a Joma uniform.

In all seriousness why talk 2014, when this is still possible in 2010

The next few years do look bright, so I don't blame you for wanting to talk about the youngsters...but right now I am too focus on the World Cup and what we can do in the present.

Having said that, I would be very upset if Najar was lost to the USA. He has a bright future...but let's not make the mistake the USA made with Freddy Adu and put too much pressure on the young kid. Let him evolve without the pressure to be a superstar.

    yup.

we won't be in the Pan-Am games since we didn't qualify for the CAC games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

UNCAF squad will most likely be a mix of domestic and fringe doemstic players like, Emil Martinez and Marvin Chavez.

now, Gold Cup expect a blueprint for our 2014 WCQ squad. most likely headed by Palacios and Costly. our newer version of Amado and Pavon.

U-20 we dont even have a coach, same goes for U-17..no coach. hopefully we can get Andy Najar into camp. El Choco Lozano & Andy Najar pairing...smh imagine that. Thats a dream.

That is not a dream, but a VERY real possibility. Outside of the World Cup, locking down Najar to play for Honduras should be the FENAFUTH's number one priority. That is no exagiration. This kid has the 'it' factor. If he ends up playing for the Nats, I will be devastated. He is the most talented youngster I have seen our country produce since David Suazo. I have been following Wilson and Maynor since they were kids. Andy at this age is already showing much more potential then those two who are now the pillars of our national team.

Andy Najar and Anthony Lozano pairing would be  on paper and on field.

both kids have the ability to be NT stars. Andy Najar has stated he wants to play for us. I hope Rueda can get this kid into camp by Copa De Oro.

Im excited what the future holds for us. Interestingly enough, we have a lot of talent going around, lets just see how we use it and if they turn out the way I think they will.

Thats the thing, we have talent, can it be developed into future WC squad talent, that is were we have failed most often. I believe this cup will bring alot of scouts from around the globe to see some of our youngsters.

Andy wants Honduras, but if we do not call him up, he will have to take the same decision Jose Torres made for the US instead of Mexico, but Najar is a much better talent than Torres at his age.

I really do see Andy succeeding in Europe one day as well, hell the kid is different to the players we normally export, the kid has ball control, he has the idea of playing, his football IQ is pretty good for his age. He is not all about his physical abilities, but mostly his technical skill, which is something we really need in the NT.

the fact that our league is blossoming so many youngsters can only be a good thing,

Arnold Peralta, Ronald Martinez, Raynieri Mayorquin big 3 midfielders for me right now within the league. If they can develope into NT material. I expect us to have something to look forward to for years to come.

What surprised me alot, was his off the ball movement. Most players don't develop that until much later in their careers when anticipating plays is so important to them because their speed has diminished over age. Andy seems to find the right place to be at the right time.

Goes to show we have a lot of talent in Honduras, but the environment to develop these players is not there, not in Honduras.

As an American with a dad born in Honduras, I think Najar will be a very good player for either country. I believe Andy has a green card, but not his American citizenship. Do you think the Catrachos will call Andy up for Gold Cup 2011?
