What a disastrously laughable game. Only class came from benny and rogers in spurts. Everyone else is just awful.

I live in L.A. and there are many countries that have more fans in our area than the U.S. team.

While there are certainly racist Americans, it could be argued that Americans are less racist than most. After all, we've allowed a massive immigrant population into our country and our reaction to it has been quite generous. There are some complainers, but they don't have the numbers or political power to get anti-immigrant legislation passed.

Ritualistic anti-americanism is very accepted in most of the world and certainly in our region. Expressing anti-american opinions is accepted and tolerated. I'm the son of an immigrant parent and she has worked hard and enjoyed the fruits of her labor in the U.S.. You can't do that everywhere. This country has been good to my family, and I support the U.S. first, and my mother's home country second. Even she would want it that way.

It's incredible how bad so many of these USMNT players have been.

Olsen might have had his limitations (lets not forget injuries) but he always played with heart, which is more than I can say for a number of fringe players.

Which of course explains all those "best of the decade" lists I've been looking at lately.

Athletes with soccer skill. Wynne has speed but he relies on it to much. He has no positional sense. He seems to be out of position a LOT!

When do you think that MLS coaches will stop drafting the track stars?

The tipping point will come soon IMO. Too many cases like his in the past as far as MLS is concerned.

As a chronic critic of Johnny it pains me to say, I think he's played decent.

I always wish he had ended up in a wheelchair. People mistake his bitchy and whiny for "heart".

It's such a shame Brad Davis wasn't a bit more athletic or a bit bigger or something. He's sort of in that Ralston zone -- fantastic player who just doesn't translate to the WC level.

also, attn everyone: nobody cares who you reported to the mods. tell it to your livejournal.

I'll agree that Feilhaber has gotten better, but I have seen NOTHING from Bornstein this year, last year, or ever. Bornstein off of the US team!

So sick of these games in the states essentially being 'away' matches. Couldn't play this game in Nashville or Raleigh for christ sakes.
