It seems like there's been a cloud over the heads of Mexico in recent months, but now it's like much of that has lifted and there's finally hope. It wasn't just the score, it was the fact that they finally got their crap together and started playing beautifully like we know they can and started turning some of that U17 potential into reality. Obviously this wasn't either team's full strength side but what more can you ask than the goleada we saw today? This really was a coming of age tournament for Gio.
Some of the excuses I have learned about today: -humidity -tired legs -BS ref calls -aphabetical teams -(add at your own will) also which goal was the favorite of the game?
something hilarious that I just noticed. have you guys noticed that every time Guille scores he trips or slips over his own feet when he's trying to celebrate. then he has to fight to not fall over. like the 3 stooges or something. it's fukin hilarious. i just realized it watching the highlights on sports center and lmao
This EASILY goes to the 3-0 Goal. Giovani Drives the ball from the right into the middle...then gives a PERFECT pass to Vela who gave a great run....and Vela with a gorgeous finish. I couldn't believe what was happening before my eyes....it was like Peru 2005 all over again. Seeing these two kids tear up the USMNT(I don't give a fuck who's wearing their Jersey) was something i dreamed of and couldn't wait too see. Today we saw it, and it was beautiful.
Vela has had some of the most Beautiful, finishes i have ever seen, I hope he makes them like that when Real Madrid buys him (shut up it can happen).. But seriously, that guy has finesse.. Pura pinche Class.. ..
This was one of my favorite games. Still it should have been 6-0 had they not screwed us with that non pk call. I wanted Sabah to get a goal and wash off that PK miss but whatever. I also love how the US fans talk about dominating the 1st half and yet their best chance came until the 2nd and it was nowhere as good as some of the bad misses we had. Great game but I sure hope they don't screw up in Azteca and make all of this meaningless. Don't want to have a Colombia 2001 situation here.

That shit is so lame. Especially the stuff about C and D teams. I'm assuming the Confederations Cup squad was the A team. So if this Gold Cup squad was the C team, what the hell happened to the B team? Did they go on strike? And it's not as if there's a Berlin Wall between A team players and B team players. These can be pretty subjective categories, and players move between the groups all the time. Players can go from B to A with a couple of good performances. Everybody's got to start somewhere. Changing topics, I loved this game.
"yes, i have a few mexican friends...but we don't go out and have tecates together; they know i don't like their style of play ie hoof and hope tactics, late tackles, and celebrating meaningless results...against america's 2nd/3rd team. they are educated so they know today doesn't mean anything (former mex nat' team pool member) you shoud know better...but hey, we can't all be born american and claim mexican. adios" Thats coming from a USA and Spain fan who obviously has something against mexicans
It was a facebook message, I had something on twitter praising Vela and Dos Santos, and he started going on saying Pablo Barrera's goal celebration against Haiti was a "Homosexual" celebration.. thats how it started
hmm His name is Carlos.lol but idk if its him He asked me if i was going to the Mex-USA game on aug 12. Then he said he wasnt gonna go because he sees enough mexicans everyday. Dude is ignorant
Here is a few videos that i took from after the game. I have some more on my brother-in law's Cam. EDIT: I forgot to mention that around 1:30 of the second video you can hear my sister telling me to ''get USA walking off'' and i turn the camara towards them. Shes cold man...
Sorry for the double post, but is Noriega completely out of Vasco's plans? He looked good before he got a red.
what sucks is that you cant hear all the chants during the televised game. "ay ay ay-ay, canta y no llores..." "si se pudo" "cinco, cinco, cinco" "seis, seis, seis" also the Ochoa and Portero chants
