    Random thoughts:

    - I love Benzema in terms of playing glamor football, but I don't trust him in a brawl.

    - Raul's still around to score when the game gets ugly and he should be able to vulture pretty well given the current roster.

    - Huntelaar's definitely headed out. Has Madrid, with the CR and Benzema moves, essentially forced Man U to buy him? Chelsea probably will be shopping for a finisher too. It always is. If Adebayor is headed to Milan, then Arsenal will be shopping for striker as well. Tottenham also could be a destination for Huntelaar.

    - Negredo said he wants a regular gig, so I doubt he's sticking around.

    - Basically, the club needs a youngster and vet to fill out the strike force. Ruud would be perfect for the vet. If he leaves then we're probably looking at someone like a Tamudo/Olivera/Morientes coming in. As for the kid, does Madrid rate Szalai or Bueno high enough to use one as a Copa del Rey striker?

    - I don't know if room can be found to mix Guti, Robben and Sneijder with all the new arrivals, but I like the depth and potential combinations.

After lurking for 2 years I finally decided to make an account. While I think Benzema is a great player I'm worried on what impact this will have on Higuain. I doubt Benzema was bought to be a sub and Ronaldo will take the other forward position.. So will this mean that Higuain will ride the bench?

    Holy shit is gettin' ridiculous!

    Oh yeah, Benzema is awesome.

May turn out to be the best value out of the big trio.

If what we've been hearing about Pellegrini being consulted on these signings is true, it likely means that we'll get to see Pipita and Benz up front with Ronaldo playing behind them. That's unless Pellegrini doesn't value Pipita, in which case the end result would likely have been the same.

What I'm trying to say is... If Pipita is forced out of the starting lineup, it won't specificallly be due to the Benzema signing.

Thats a girls name. Come up with a better one. :p

You know after whats happened over the last few months the two people i definitely wouldn't want to be right now are Joe Girardi and Manuel Pellegrini. They occupy THE HOTTEST seats in sports right now. Both teams have amassed huge talent at huge prices in the middle of a financial crisis.

Its all in pellegrini's hands now. Will he be able to deal with all the ego's?

A little perplexed to be honest, Benzema's a great signing (though I have no idea why you're all so sure we were desperate for his signature) but what does this mean for Ronaldo. The main concern is him being forced out wide where he'd be utterly wasted, particularly if Raul is still ever-present in the side and I can't see him being dropped. Anyone know if Pellegrini is the type of coach who'd have the balls to do it? I'm also a little concerned for Higuain, what a talent that guy is, because, by the looks of things his playing time is gonna be significantly reduced competing with a returning Van Nistelrooy, the (second) best player in the world, the new £30m signing and the undroppable spent force club captain.

Ah well (look at me commenting like I support Real Madrid ). Whatever happens lets all hope this gets resolved with Klaas Jan Huntelaar signing for Manchester United.

I think the Raul factor will be that he will accept a bench role this season, well that is atleast what everybody is hoping for. I believe the same goes to Ruud.

    Please take KJH :p

Perez at one point wanted to sell Raul and Calderon wanted to loan him out but Capello blocked that move so Raul is not automatic starter or untouchable. No one will complain if Raul is benched.

Pellegrini likes to play a 4-2-2-2 with two free roaming AM/SS behind the two strikers.

    Something like this.

    -------------------Casillas----------------------
    ------------------------------------------------
    Ramos-------Pepe-----------Albiol---------Arbeloa
    -------------------------------------------------
    ---------------Lass-------Xabi-------------------
    -------------------------------------------------
    ------Ronaldo----------------------Kaka---------
    -------------------------------------------------
    --------------Higuain----------------------------
    -------------------------Benzema----------------

Edit: You can have Huntelaar for €25mill. I will drive him to Old Trafford myself.

Neither of those sources are particularly credible. Quotes? Sources? You haven't shown me anything.

    LOL

Love it. It's OK, we know you weren't really that bothered about signing him, he wasn't a United target for a long while now, you go ahead and believe that if it makes you feel better.

Ahh, people like you make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. You are like forum user porn.

And people like your mum are my co-stars.

Moving on, of course its obvious Ferguson was an admirer of Benzema, I'm not denying that, I just don't believe he was a major target without credible proof particularly with Rooney and Berbatov in the squad and the need to strengthen in other areas. Why would we spend £30m+ on a squad player?

Oh, and me needing to feel better?

    For real dude?

Yo JayBoy...Alex Ferguson would sell Rooney, Berbatov and his corrupt son to get Benzema...but then again Benzema would choose not to play for you guys in the end! Muhahahaha :D
