Match to be played at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain. This is a must win game for us. With a win, we stay in contention for automatic qualification; Anything less could very well see us virtually eliminated. A draw helps only if both Mexico and Honduras lose their respective matches. Either way, we need to win away atleast once in these next few games to be in with a chance of making the World Cup.
will be a good , both teams need points real bad. the games they will play in the Copa Oro will only prepare them . hope they get a win. they need a win ! >UNO<
What do you guys think the line up will be? Keeping in mind that most likely AA will be ready for this match... Imo I would like to see a fit Cheyo in the midfield taking upon the #10 role in the midfield...This is a really offensive line up, Im really not to crazy with Cheyo's defensive game but IMO I would risk it for a more offensive game... Does anybody know if Sanchez can play next game? He received a yellow card against Honduras.... ----------Zelaya--------------------- ----------------------AA------------- -------------------------------------- Castillo---Sanchez--Cheyo---Martinez -------------------------------------- Pacheco---Marvin----Mardo---Salazar -------------------------------------- -----------------Montes-------------- or -------------Zelaya------------------- -----------------------Cheyo--------- -------------------------------------- Castillo----Sanchez---Martinez----AA -------------------------------------- Pacheco---Marvin----Mardo---Salazar -------------------------------------- -----------------Montes--------------
......................Zelaya........................ ..Castillo..............................Martinez.. .................Cheyo...Romero................. ......................Sanchez...................... ..Pacheco.....Marvin..Mardo......Salazar.. Second Half we take out Martinez and put in Alvarez. We take out Romero and Put in Salvador Coreas.
I say we go out much like we have been in the last few home games. We focus more on attack, but keep everything tight at the back. Also, i doubt Alvarez will play in this game (if he joins us). IMO he is more of a chance to play in the US game, or if not then whatever game follows on from that (friendly, qualifer etc.). As for Sanchez, well yes i think he's going to miss this game. That is a huge loss. I think we need to try out new players in CM starting now as Jimenez and Alas both lack what it takes to do the job correctly. Or atleast do it, and give us the confidence that they won't mess it up.
But Romero is not your token CM like Sanchez. He focused on attacking rather than defending. And playing him there will see us lose him on attack. Hopefully DLC looks at other options cause Alas is not national team material. Bring back Menjivar!
Are you sure Sanchez is missing the next game. I was looking at the FIFA website and it says he only has 3 yellow cards. But I'm not sure if that counts the 2006 qualifiers. I also think Coreas is missing this next game. I just hope Dennis Alas doesn't play. ............Reyes......Zelaya............. .Castillo...Cheyo...Romero..Martinez. .Pacheco..Henriquez.Marvin.Salazar. ..................Montes...................
I think Ramon would still be able to play, when was the last time before the game against Honduras that he got a yellow? I also believe that Arturito will be with us by the T&T game. This the way i would come out for that game. It seems really offensive minded but i think our back four have been really strong and will continue to do so. Plus Cheyo never defends anyway. This is extremely unlikely but this is my dream line-up. Well maybe for right not since Shawn won't be 100% I know Arturito is mostly a winger, but he even says to enjoy and feels really comfortable playing forward, and i think Fito needs help by a master attacker. --------------Arturito----Zelaya--------------- -------------------Cheyo--------------------- Castillo------Sanchez-------Martinez------- Pacheco-----Marvin---Salazar---Anaya--- -----------------Mudo---------------- In the 70+ i would take out Pacheco but in La Rastra and have him swith places with Salazar. Because Manuel has proven he can play just about anywhere in the back. Then a few moments later take out Martinez put Shawn and then pull out Cheyo for Romero.
Cheyo will be in Cyprus by the end of this month right? Well, why the hell would he leave now if the gold cup starts July 3rd? off topic: when a player is going to play for the national team, who pays for the flight when they're playing outside? The federation? The team that they're playing for in the league, or them?
It should be the fed... It should be interesting to see how Cheyo will be use at Ermis ..... Forward de engache, CM , L or R CM ? How was he used at Aguila, Alaj.. and DC ?
I believe at DC he was moved around a fair bit. He played on the wings and sometimes as a forward or attacking mid. At Alajuelense he played mostly as an AM, while at Aguila (second stint) he played as an AM or sometimes deeper as a CM/AM.
El Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago All in for World Cup berth Traffic Sports and Integrated Sports distributing August 12 PPV MIAMI (July 5, 2009) – Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago will be putting it all on the line for their August 12th showdown in a World Cup Qualifying match that has critical implications, in terms of securing a berth in next year’s FIFA World Cup, live on pay-per-view from Hasely Crawford Stadium, Trinidad. Traffic Sports USA and Integrated Sports announced distribution for the key August 12 game live at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT on cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DirecTV, TVN and Dish Network in the United States, as well as Viewer's Choice, Shaw PPV, Star Choice and Bell TV in Canada, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. “This is exciting news, not just for the fans in the United States, but also the rest of us in CONCACAF,” CONCACAF President Jack Warner commented. “We are delighted that fans that cannot be at the Stadium in Trinidad on August 12 will have the opportunity to witness all the action, live via Pay-Per-View broadcast. Both El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago have a massive following in the U.S. and I'm sure they will take advantage of this chance to view the match being made available to them by Traffic Sports. I expect the game will be truly exciting, too, and this will be an added bonus for the subscribers on that day." El Salvador is coming off a strong performance in World Cup Qualifying play and is in 5th place, trailing third place Honduras by only three points. The El Salvador National Team beat CONCACAF powerhouse, Mexico, this past June 6. The “Cuscatlecos” beat Mexico in San Salvador, 2-1, in its last home World Cup qualifying match, considered the country’s most important victory in the last 12 years. The victory made the possibilities of qualifying to the World Cup closer than ever. Trinidad and Tobago hopes to return to the World Cup after making an appearance in the last competition, held three years ago in Germany. Although presently in sixth place, “The Soca Warriors” still have a real opportunity to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. Trinidad and Tobago dropped a hard fought game in Mexico, 2-1, but is prepared to rebound and play a winning game at home. El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago battled to a deadlock this past February at Cuscatla Stadium in front of 30,000 people. Trinidad and Tobago led for most of the match but a last minute goal by Osael Romero secured the tie. “After receiving thousand of messages from passionate fans in the USA and Canada, “Traffic Sports Vice President, Enrique Sanz de Santamaria said. “We worked diligently to ensure the availability of the game on Residential and Commercial pay per view. We are proud to announce the pay-per-view distribution on the most important systems in the USA and Canada. With this distribution we can ensure that all the soccer fans can have access to the game either on their house or favorite bar or restaurant. We realize the importance of the game and the desire to see and cheer for your national team on the quest to the World Cup.” Three teams will automatically qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa at the conclusion of CONCACAF Final Round, while the fourth-place finisher plays CONMEBOL's fifth-place team in a two-game series this November for one of the last two berths in the 32-team field. “We’re delighted to be working again with Traffic Sports to bring soccer fans in North American such an important match,” Integrated Sports president Doug Jacobs added. “We look forward to providing this tremendous match-up to the passionate El Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago fans in the U.S. and Canada.” Traffic Sports USA: Traffic Sports USA, based in Miami, is one of the leading soccer event management companies in the North American, Central American and Caribbean region. Sweet pay per view yes finally i hate going to resturants and getting kicked out and not watching the game cuz some dumbass started a fight
i'm going to bite the bullet and just pay for PPV...better than trying to find streams throughout the game
I think the Costa Rica game will also be on PPV...it's listed on that website and a good friend mentioned it earlier today...I hope it's true...because that would be awesome.
