Oh ok, what a relief. I thought that they were just sent there to play for a second division team and nothing else. I was pissed when I first read the news, because these players are good players, they deserve a better opportunity, but if they're able to sign with another club while on loan, that's cool.

In my point of view, these 3 guys are hungry, they'll go out there and prove themselves to get signed by a bigger club in the first division in mexico or somewhere else. Let's just hope they're not warming up the bench most of the time.

damn, they have some pretty inexpensive merchandise. I'm glad the boys are headed abroad. Mexican 1a is about the same level as USL 1. I remember when Bentos went to Puebla, and everyone was saying that Bentos was the best forward in the country etc. everyone seemed okay with him in the mexican 1a. Granted, he's not a national team member; it still kind of reminded me of that situation.

The merchandise might seem pretty inexpensive but the shipping is very expensive.

The Mexican Primera is better than USL1 in my opinion. They style of play is faster, and more organized. The upside of all this, is that Leon is constantly on the verge of being promoted and if our 3 guys continue to play the way they do in the Selecta they will most likely be promoted.

Yeah and no matter how good a USL1 team is they cannot be promoted to the MLS.

Exactly, and if they did the MLS isn't that great. Leon on the other will most likely get promoted to the FMF which is a great league.

ok, we are getting to alarmed, there is no question they deserve to play in first division right away, but there is more behind the scenes with the trio cuscatleco.

Leon is associated with other first division teams, if for whatever reason Leon doesn't make to first division, other first division teams I bet have already talked it out with Leon to transfer those players to either Indios, Santos or Tecos. Sometimes these first division teams are pre causious with central american players and want to see how they respond in the second division, unfortunately our "brand" always gives owners second thoughts or think about causious measurements. but if they were Colombians, Uruguayans or Chilenos they would have been in first division in a flash.

This is our reality, El Salvadorean soccer has to stay competitive for owners not to have second thought about our players. Second we need better people to represent our players and negotiate them to better teams, that is another problem. Pohl, just doesn't mind selling them cheap, he doesn't mind his pockets getting fast money either. just my opinion.

well . . . seeing is believing, Because we have faith in our players doesnt mean other people believe they are good. Nothing personal to us, but we have more of a dissavantage because we have a small country, and we havent made the world cup since 1982. Put yourself in their shoes of a GM if you had a choice between a player from Somalia or France who without seeing them in person, who would you pick ?

Leon is an independent club and they have no affiliates with other Mexican teams. If our players were to transfer to another Mexican side it would be due to form and scouting on their part rather than Leon and them working out a long term plan before they've even made their debuts.

    Agreed!

I know you probably didn't see it, but here is the first post from the thread....

With that, the only players that should be discussed in here are Pacheco, Miranda, Quintanilla, Martinez, Zelaya and Castillo.

If/when Arturo officially becomes a Salvadoran international, then he to can join the list. Same goes for Mayen and Burgos.

As for the youngsters, well they aren't pro so they shouldn't be included.

I misunderstood that sorry. I just thought since this an abroad section we should post it here, since there will be news about those guys in the future.

So guys that play for the u-20 and u-17 aren't pro?

No. The ones that are on junior contracts aren't pro and that's why i don't think they should not be listed here.

Obviously there are U20 and U17 players that are, but they are contracted to clubs within the country.

I think as most of these juniors are FESA products, then the best thing would be to discuss their careers in that thread. That is until they go pro, and play senior games abroad, in which case they can be listed here too.

Cool, i always said it, Zelaya and Castillo should leave El salvador/Alianza, as a combo-deal type.

I wish them the best of luck, in the Mexican "A" league.
