No need, just give me a gun, let the firing squad have the night off. I mean really, the guy is on loan (A), and this belongs in the Yanks Abroad Section (B)......
Hate to change the subject, I too would like to f*** with the guy who calls it 'first division', but perhaps Jozy and his playing time would be more interesting? Jozy is getting huge off-season play with tough qualifiers, Italy, Brazil, Egypt (and then whomever we see in the next round, hee hee), a little gold-cup play? México in Azteca for the love of god. He could, by the end of summer, be in quite good form and condition, ready for important minutes at Villareal...
Of course, he'll also have a new manager at Villarreal who could play him more or less. He'll have to go in and impress him. Villarreal paid quite a lot of money for him, so they'll surely want to give him a go. The problem Jozy has is that he hasn't played games for most of the season................and he's supposed to show up against Italy and look good?
Can't remember where I read it. But Altidore said that after his meeting with Villareal, they said he would be getting playing time no matter where he is next season. So, by his words, you can assume that if Villareal ends up keeping him, that they will try to find a way to work him more, but if they loan him out, then they will make sure it is to a place where he will get regular minutes this time.
If a player is on a first division team but doesn't really play is he really in the first division???? hmm....
Probably depends what kind of foreign players they sign. Remember that there are non-EU restrictions in Spain, and Villarreal have a gaggle of South Americans. Some of them have dual-Spanish citizenship, but others don't.
