I think it all depends on what group you're with, what job you have, etc. etc. My boss' ex-hubby was a high NCO, and his little group (for lack of proper military vocabulary) did running/drills like 3-4 times a week. I thought this was the norm. They still have PT tests that you have to pass and things like that. So, it's not like they're sitting around, eating twinkies becoming a giant group of lard asses. Of course, it could be that CM wants more physical training than what is offered to her presently, thus the program.
Oh MY GOD I seriously thought I read "My ex-hubby." I was like uhhh WHAT THE F*CK?! What world did I just enter?
Yeah, my squadron works out together, but I wanted to go a little above and beyond what they do. Group workouts never work... either it's too hard for the lardasses or too weak for the people that are in shape. They like to run... I still can't really run well yet. Stupid knee. So... I'm working out on my own.
Good. I'm on day 6. I'm feeling it. Although, I haven't really been following the diet... Being at work/in class all day doesn't lend itself well to eating well. So I've been PTing with the squadron AND doing P90X. I haven't lost weight, which is expected since I'm going to gain muscle. My pants may be fitting better now though. Let's see how it goes in a week or so more.
I kid because I care. I'm trying out some proxy servers to see if I can't get past the ITV 'Britain-only' thing so I can watch the women's FA Cup final. Thus the 'testing' post.
Awwww ... me, too!* Good luck with your proxy servers. *In my new-to-the-forum, know-you-really-meant-Bison-and-CA kind of way.
kool-aide pokes her head into the party thread and wonders if she'll know anyone. Notices a couple of people she's seen around. Opens a beverage and decides this should be just fine.
