sorry to hear that kcguru. Work? personal? school? I had a very busy day and I'm just having lunch right now... I got season tickets to the FC Gold Pride games!
It actually had the potential to be a really good day. I was all excited because I was going to be able to just walk around with the boss, doing some computer stuff, listen to my music, work was actually gonna be good. That all went downhill when I went out to get into my car to drive to work only to find that my car was literally smoking from the heat vents. Not so good. Apparently all my antifreeze had leaked out, don't know where it leaked from. I of course do not have a spare car laying around. I have to call my brother to see if I can borrow his truck. Well, my loving sister pretty much told me to walk. (My sister and I do not get along, at all. I'm pretty sure she hates me for some reason.) Well, my brother let me use his truck "Just for one day though!" So then I have to call my aunt at work, get her to leave work to come get me and take me over to my bro's house to get his truck. Then I get to work, 30 minutes late. I can't get a hold of my mechanic, I have no idea where I'm going to get a car for the weekend, and taking off is not an option since we have inspection Tuesday. I'm actually getting overtime. Then I get to work, I get shit from everyone "Oh, you're just getting here now?" and someone stole my f*ckin' screwdriver. Icing on the cake. At this point I just want to go cry in the bathroom and I am so not a crying person. My aunt is letting me use her car tomorrow, I got nothing for Sunday and Monday. The only good news was that I finally got a hold of my mechanic, he picked up my car but I have no idea what's going on.
Holy shit. That sounds like me and my last *knock on wood* car troubles. I'm 45 miles from work, so it's not like I can bum a ride when my vehicle needs work. I actually have to either call in and take a vacation day, or borrow someone's car if it's longer than a day or so. I hope everything works out, kc.
2nd vid: I'm now hermetically sealed to the bike! AHAHAHAHAHAH LOL I <3 this video. And was it a KK donut? Cuz I can understand why that woman lost her mind. mmmm when you smell them...it's divine.
Yeah, I am about 30 miles from work and this would be the one weekend that I absolutely can not take off. I get a hold of my mechanic Saturday during my lunch break, oh, he hasn't even gotten it up on the hoist yet. Well, I'm guessing it's not going to be done for Sunday. Thankfully my aunt loves me and she let me use her car again today and a friend of mine is letting me use his truck Monday. Tuesday I'm not scheduled for work and I'm trying to get Wednesday off. Thankfully both my supervisor and the hotel General Manager love me so they were sitting down in the GM's office trying to figure out how to get me to work Sunday, including letting me stay for free Satuday night, which would've worked except I needed to get my aunt's car back to her. Ahh, the perks of being the favorite at work. So I have no idea when my car will be done but at least I have a vehicle for tomorrow.
Oh, and I finally snapped like a twig and bought a new car this week. I got tired of winning the random 'you want how much to fix that ' lotto. I got a Toyota Corrolla S. Definitely not a chic magnate, but after a lot of frustration with the last vehicle I just wanted the best quality transportation I could afford. I can pay it off in a few years and drive it for next to forever if necessary. My dad's health is declining and there is a five hour drive between him and me. At least now I know I can get in the car at 2 in the morning and drive all night if necessary.
Yeah, buying my jeep 4 years ago was the hardest -- and smartest -- decision I ever made. I missed having more throw away money, but I definitely did not miss worrying about my old Cherokee breaking down or blowing up.
Mrs. CA and I bought a new Corolla S in December 2007. We like ours a lot. We call her Mattie when she's good... but she's Matilda when she's being bad.
Whenever I feel sad about the amount I pay for rent, I think of all the things that I "buy" with my rent money (besides the roof over my head) by living where I do--the weather, the access to all kinds of stuff... Makes my rent seem pretty cheap actually. Of course my rent is cheap compared to D-S. What the heck are you renting? A house at least...I hope?
holy crap! 485 in MONTANA? Does it include utils? I only pay 375 in downtown ATL. But then again it's Downtown ATL...
Georgia, as a whole, is SO much cheaper than a lot of other places. Downside: You also get paid a lot less.
All I paid for was electricity... but I also fed the laundry machine a crap ton of money in my 4 years there... 485 for a two bedroom dumpy place...
