I only got to see the first half because I got called in to work but what a terrible mess it was. We look so crap away it isn't funny. I know it was always going to be difficult to get a result but we look really bad away from home.

Anyone care to comment on how we were the second half because I assme from the result it is similar ifnot worst than the first half.

Leo Moura got red carded and we couldn't create any kind of pressure after that. Nacional's 2nd goal resulted from the ball bouncing around the box and nobody could clear it. The 3rd goal came off a FK. I didn't watch the replay after I saw the ball in the net, so I can't tell you what transpired on the FK.

Back to winning ways with a 3x1 win over Americno. Thiago Sales with two (surprised we scored off set plays) and Maxi with the other goal (great to see him get playing time). Also Renato Augusto game on in the second back from a couple of month lay-off with a face injury.

Anyone else worried about Leonardo, he looks poor every match he played

Decent showing today. Americano's goal came off a Jailton mistake, who should never enter a game again IMO. Jonatas had his first good game since he has come back to Fla.

About Leonardo, I'm not too worried. He is a backup CB, and with the way Thiago Salles has been playing, he may not even be the immediate backup. Just give him some time, he may improve. He was pretty solid at Goias.

I don't really remember him with Goias. I asked a friend who is a Palmeiras supporter and he never really liked him. Maybe I am just being a bit harsh on the guy because it does take time to settle into a new club.

If Flamengo beats Nacional, they will reach 7 points, and be in first or second place, depending on the game between Coronel Bolognesi and Cienciano, who play in Tacna. As the most probable result will be a Cienciano victory, Flamengo would be left in second place, heading off to the altitudes of Cuzco forced to take a point away from the Peruvian team so they don't accumulate too many points.

- If Flamengo ties with Nacional- without even considering the other game between Cienciano and Coronel Bolognesi, they will need two victories in the last two games to be classified for the next phase.

- If Flamengo loses at Maracana today, they will be virtually eliminated, because not only will they need to win the last 2 games, but they will also depend on the results of other games in their group.....

O negócio é vencer hj e subir o morró e arrancar um ponto lá. O Márcio Braga tem que parar com essa frescura toda de não ir lá em Cuzco. Se o Fla quiser ganhar o Libertadores, tem que jogar em qualquer lugar.

Procura um stream na RojaDirecta cara. Eu vi o jogo contra Nacional no Uruguai no site deles.

A gente precisa arrancar um ponto no morró, senao, as coisas vão ficar complicadas..

1x0 HT. Flamengo dominated most of the half possession wise, but need to take more shots on goal. As of right now, I'd take out Souza who has a yellow and isn't doing crap and put Diego Tardelli in. Kléberson has been struggling, making bad passes and taking bad shots. I'd consider putting Jônatas in who is known for his precise passing and playmaking ability. Flamengo needs to fix their defense. They let Nacional cross a dangerous ball in the box and allowed one of their players to sneak in behind and get a touch on the ball. The CBs need to close down on that ball before it makes it to that guy. Fla also needs to watch out for Nacional's coutner attack. The kick the ball up front to Morales, who holds it, and then passes it off to someone streaking down the field. The ref has been ok, besides allowing Fornaroli to pull Angelim by the shirt and create what could have been Nacional's first goal if it weren't for São Bruno.

Looks like we are on our way to a 2-0 win

Performance wise it wasn't much IMO, like above we never take enough shots on goal and I found tonight very boring to watch and nothing really created in clear chances. Bruno comes up with his quota of 1 or 2 world class saves and well we are top of the group............for now!

Big day today. It is do or die time for Flamengo in the Libertadores, in the altitude. It's time to see what the boys are made of. If we tie, we should be able to classify in 2nd place. If we win, we got a good chance at finishing in 1st. If we lose, we need a miracle in goal differential to get through.
