Better loop 'The Volley' about 73 times then. I reckon he goes for just under $1m. (for everyone else) although I could see Maccabi being highest bidder.

Hell, Spector only went for 500k when he signed w/West Ham (or was that pounds?)

One can only hope there is something available in Holland (small club) or France (small club) or even Switzerland wouldn't be bad (shop window for rest of Europe), if a team gave him the reins in the middle...

Different forum, I think. Don't really know how much cross forum power mods have.

    Pearson again claims:

This despite Benny's agent saying only a couple of days ago that an MLS transfer isn't happening. Where the hell are Ives and AC and Steve Goff (again)?

so i guess this deal is done, and hopefully he will work his way into the side a la jay demerit at watford (a bit different circumstances but you get my point) and maybe he will lead them back up...although the way their defense is it may take a while. what i dont understand at the moment is why the coach isnt playing the young players more, considering they are pretty much assured of going down. wouldnt it be good to get the backups some premiership experience?

    I think it's forum-specific. You know:

Sounds like MLS is just a bargaining chip. I doubt he'll be getting the sum he wants from MLS.

Maccabi Tel Aviv received a quote for buying Bornstein from Major League Soccer. They were surprised by the amount and look like they will look for alternative options. Perhaps Juan Pablo Sorin? They play similar positions and both wouldn't count as foreigners.

so that move is quashed. So his options now are fight it out at Derby, go on loan to MLS, or go on a permanant to MLS. Agent was probably posturing, thats what they tend to do those silly agents. If im benny, and i want to stay in Europe, a loan to MLS without a buyout option looks pretty sexy right now.

If Bornstein was too rich for their blood, they're going to have a heart attack when a fee for Sorin is discussed.

Okay. Let's just say that that scenario does exist.

Once again is has been stated that Benny is not in the plans of Jewell and Derby County and he is free to leave. In addition, again it has been noted that he has no plans to return to the States and that a deal with Maccabi is still not out of reach. I wish something would happen already, dammit! The more this drags on the more time is lsot that he could be playing somewhere.

usually more than half of their selected players on their rosters play in their local league
