Fulham's problem is that they have 11 role players. I guess Davies and Murphy are fine as mdifielders...but not together where one of them have to be a lead midfielder.

Dempsey is a good player. but he's not good enough to be a leading striker. Both centerbacks are average, the fullbacks servicable...

I think this is why Fulham wanted Marlon King and want Eddie Johnson.

Dempsey CAN be that leading midfielder I think, he seems to have an extra something when he's on the ball that other Fulham players don't, and a guy Johnson can get his goals when he's in form and getting service. He's a classic #9 and Fulham don't appear to have one.

With Bullard healthy, and McBride coming back, and Johnson coming into the fold - I think Fulham will be much improved over the final 3rd of the season

    Jimmy Bullard on!

He really looks like he's out of the Def Leppard road crew or something.

There's maybe 3 Centerbacks in England that Adebayor won't make look foolish in the air. Arsenal have had 2 good chances in the 1st half (now one with that Eduardo run and Rosicky shot), and both were basically impossible to defend because of Adebayor's physical advantages. There is a reason he plays for Arsenal.

The defense has done a good job thus far.

    EDIT-

is this the 3rd or 4th time that Dempsey has drawn blood from someone's face with his elbows?

    Seol is a turnover machine.

Crap, I'm going to agree with g68.

While he is an excellent forward, he is not that good......yet.

He basically was allowed to take 2 lay ups.

No contact, no one sticking an arm out, no one jumping with him, no one bumping him in the box to make it harder for him, no attempts a t jumping with him to throw him off. Nothing.

Well taken goals, but I guaran-damn-tee you, that he doesn't get both those clean looks versus the vast majority of Prem teams.

Arsenal are obvioulsy a sweet and dangerous team, but when the D makes it that easy, and a lot of it is on the D, then you will get lay ups.

That's why Fulham is going down.

I just logged on to post how crappy Seol is. Worst player on the field for Fulham.

so hogshead changes long ball tactics by putting in 6 mids with dempsey up top alone against 4 defenders.

Go out there clint, make it happen!

    ridiculous.

Fulham desperately need a play maker in the middle and a leader out there. They have no idea how to break Arse.

hate to say this, but fulham only having success on long ball.

which is idiotic since they have 5 people in the midfield.

Agreed. Fulham's dilemma is the same as that of many US youth teams. Keeping the ball on the ground is more effective, but you need 10 guys who can play that way. Otherwise it doesn't work.

Adebayor may be my new favorite (non Yank) player.

Not only is he great, but extremely classy.

He accidentally clipped Niemi, and he is staying with him for 5+ minutes now, and showing a real concern about the accidental contact. He didn't leave the entire time Niemi was down. Very classy guy.

Moreover, he's just great. A level above.

I think Dempsey might have been the one Fulham player crashing the net who wasn't offsides on that play.

In the recent fourfourtwo magazine there is a nice interview with him. His reponses in it also show his class and humbleness.

Good to see that McBride gets some respect from the Brits as they panned to him and the PBP guy pointed out that McBride being hurt is a big part of Fulham's problems this year and how vital he is to the team.

Not much to do with the business at hand, but McBride's wife is hot.

They've shown Hangeland in the stands a couple of times salivating.

Dempsey was actually onside...Healy, who actually totally mistimed the cross and was in a poor position, was the one who caused the flag to go up.

Clint has to be beyond frustrated. Comes to England to play attacking mid and ends up as a lone f*cking striker with a League One level midfield "serving" him.
