Kidd to the Lakers? Bill Simmons gives his three-way trade scenario that would see Kidd joining Kobe in LA. Doubt it will happen and honestly even if it does I think LA is still just the 4th best team in the West anyways and possibly still behind the Jazz as well.

I've also seen a few rumors that the Mavs will pursue Kidd. I have always been a fan of Kidd's game but as a Spurs fan I think I would almost welcome seeing Kidd in Dallas as long as they were giving up Terry or Howard in return. As long as they're giving up value for him I don't see how Kidd would help them match up any better against the Spurs than they do with their current squad.

Kidd is a huge upgrade on Devin Harris

OMG, was watching the Atlanta vs Toronto game and saw TJ Ford taken off the court after a hard foul by Al Hofford. This was ugly and considering Ford injury history it's a bit worrying.

I don't think Hofford had a bad intention, his reaction after the play said it all.

Hope everything is all right with TJ.

I clicked over to that game on league pass and saw him being loaded onto a stretcher with a neck brace. I have to say that Horford doesn't seem like the type of player who would intentionally hurt someone.

Ford had a good start to the season, but he's been really unlucky since mid-November.

18-2 for the Celts. I really would have thought something more like 10-10 at this point, gotta say. Like a lot of people, I thought they could be a force by playoff time, but it would be until Jan/Feb before they really gelled.

I think where most of us went wrong was in focusing on offense, where they indeed have struggled at times (last night, for instance). But the Garnett-led defense has just been monstrous, and is the reason for their consistency. This allows them to play mediocre games against bad Eastern teams and still win.

They'll have to play well in both directions when they meet the Spurs and Mavs of the world, but it's looking much more doable.

Yeah who would've thought they'd immediately be a serious contender for the East's best team? Oh wait....virtually everyone except one poster on Bigsoccer.

DoctorJones says he thought the Celtics would be 10-10 now and you call him out on it?

    You really are a dickhead.

    Edited to add:

Besides the Celtics there are only 4 teams in the East with winning records.

Oh, and the Celtics have only beaten 4 teams with winning records.

First it was they've only beaten one team with a winning record, now its up to 4......

"Cant wait to watch the Celtics lose with those 3"
    "The NBA isn't 3 on 3"

Longest Cs win streak in 14 years and thelast 2 came without Ray Allen, the supporting cast is better than thought, and defense doesn't go into slumps.

All I predicted was that they'd challenge for the title in the east, and you even called me out ont hat thay, guess what....you were wrong.

Doctor Jones thought they'd be a force by playoff time.

This is what happens when you run your mouth like an ass hole and present your opinions as facts.

Apparently winding people up on the internet is a new phenomenon in Florida that you've never experienced.

Glad I gave you your first taste and helped you join the rest of the interwebs community.

I'm glad I'm a premium member because now I'll be blocking you and never have to read another of your posts again.

Thanks for the fun. Boston sports fans sure have been enlightening over the past year. Heck, NY sports fans are almost as bad as Boston fans, but not quite. You will not be missed.

winding people up on the internet is the practice of children, trolls, and assholes in general, you probably fall into one or all of these categories.

Just another loser who cannot face fact that you were wrong, get over it. It happens all the time when people get into sports debate with me. It's funny how you keep avoiding the points, and have changed the argument countless times to try and cover up your poor predicitions.

And hey, I'm looking forward to the Suns-Spurs game tonight! Suns have lost 3 of 4 and looked pretty crappy of late, but well, maybe they'll rise to the occasion like they always do. Then again, even if they somehow win, the Spurs will be without Parker, and it will prove nothing. Nevertheless, I'm glad I have NBA TV.

Ah Spurs fans, just as classless as the team they cheer for.

Funny to see the Duncan era has "created" lots of fans for this team.

First of all, "It has???"

I thought most Spurs' fans were pretty much bunkered in and around San Antonio.

And secondly, even if there are some more Spurs' fans out there, isn't it pretty much par for the course for ANY team that wins multiple championships to gain fans. You know, the bandwagon effect.

But it's not like it's "Spurs Nation" or anything like that.

Oh, spit. I can't believe I'm defending the Spurs OR their fans.

Is it sure that Parker will still be out?

It will be interesting none-the-less as I'm sure that even with the Suns poor performances lately they will bring their A-game tonight.

Just having a go, never had a problem with Spurs fans any more than other successful teams fans, just one silly poster who cannot get a grip on reality.

Cannot blame any city for their title envy of Boston though, it's flattering in a way.

You will have to excuse me, generally I avoid posters like this, but people who attack fan bases as a whole, especially when they probably have never been to said city, for no reason, and state opinions as fact, well let's just say Im happy to keep pointing out how stupid they were, especially as the Cs roll out to a 20-2 start.

How did you end up a Sox and Suns fan?

I think you're okay. I wouldn't even call that defending. Just pointing out facts.

I don't think I've ever met a Spurs fan who wasn't from Texas.

I jumped on the Spurs bandwagon back in the day when George Gervin was still playing there. My hometown doesn't have an NBA team so I had no allegiance. When my coach started telling me about his game I made it a point to watch him as much as possible and his team became mine.

But mostly I just like to watch good basketball.

Two root causes .... Carlton Fisk and Alvan Adams. (ok, I'll admit I'm old).

But the real reasons that I like them intensely NOW are a) I live in New England now and can watch the Sox every day, and b) my brother lives in Phoenix and preached and preached until I started watching the Suns and promptly got hooked.

But the roots are actually key. I just don't have any past connection at all with the Celtics (or Bruins) to get me to care about them.

Understandable, now that I dont live in New England anymore, I feel no connection to the Revs in MLS, and also the effect of my Grandfather and father helped push the obsession froma young age for the big 4.

I had no interest what so ever in a college team till I moved here and attended the University, then Gator fever took hold.

In all since the turn of the millenium I have seen my teams win 10 titles, and feel completely spoiled.

I missed all of the Suns/Spurs game except the last few possessions, but what I saw was entertaining.

Here's a good local article (San Antonio Express) on Grant Hill's move to the Suns.

I expected that Hill would be injured and have missed at least 5 games at this point in the season. He's proved most people wrong and is putting up good all-round numbers.

Cs first loss at home comes at the hands of a Billups pump fake, dumb dumb defending.

If anything will cost the Celtics its Rivers. How do you draw up a play for the winning shot for the coldest player on the floor?

Well cant complain too much could have gone either way, Rondo keeps getting better, bright future there, finishes like Parker around the rim. Kept his head despite the officials double teaming him in the matchup with Billups.

This game means very little, but it has shown a few things that the Cs will have to address before the play-offs roll around.

Rondo looked solid, and very impressive considering what a quick learner he is proving to be.
But Eddie House is not the guy you want to have as your back-up point guard. They need to aggressively go after Cassell.
