I disagree with the assessment of the WC, it's the most prestigious trophy ever. I even rank it ahead of a Nobel. Anyhow, Ronaldinho and C Ronaldo both won the CL, but Dinho's was in far more spectacular fashion.

Apart from the missed penalty C.Ronaldo was flawless for United, whilst Ronaldinho completely disappeared in the final against Arsenal. Henry was better.

The world cup these days are marketing machines, organized by FIFA, with poor quality of football played. I hope the tournament earns its credibility back in Brazil

Ronaldinho created the play that resulted in the goal wrongly disallowed by the ref...but it put Arsenal down to ten men. I don't think Cristiano had such a great final either, despite the goal.

Last WC was good quality overall, there's alwasy going to be a couple of teams that don't belong there.

Wow at some people putting Neymar in this group.

Neymar is a nobody, he hasnt proved 2 shits yet. Its a blasphemy to even put him in the same sentence with the other 5 players, period.

With this said, the first group is just too powerful to ignore. Prime Ronaldo + Ronaldinho is epic orgasm, and we all know the class Zidane had. Cristiano is probably the worse player out of those 5, by a slight margin though.

Why even waste your time arguing R10 > CR9? It's only debatable because Ronaldo is still only 26. In 5 years time he'll be far ahead of Ronaldinho's career barring a major disaster of some sort.

he can score 500 more goals between now and the day he retires, but never in a billion years is Cristiano Ronaldo a better player than Ronaldinho.

    Ronaldo
    Messi
    Zidane
    Ronaldinho

    Cristiano Ronaldo

    Neymar

You obviously value peak performance over longevity. That's your choice, but it's kind of inconsistent since you rank Zidane ahead of Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho was 'epic' for 3 seasons, but also kind of sabotaged Barca and Brazil starting in 2006 by under-performing and getting fat & lazy. For instance, Barca would've easily won La Liga in 2006-7 if Ronaldinho played as well as CR9 is now.

I still find it so hard to see why everyone thinks Zidane is such a legend. I've never seen a player so overrated in my life. It's seriously mind boggling.

it's not that I discount longevity, but I prefer to look at players at their best. it's like comparing Ryan Giggs and George Best...sure Giggs has played for 20 years and won absolutely truckloads, but I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue he was better than Best, who was pretty much finished by 27.

sure Cristiano Ronaldo is a bit of a machine goals-wise, but IMO for all his goals he hasn't come anywhere near the levels that Ronaldinho did in 2003-2006/7. but then I place Zidane just above Ronaldinho because their peaks are somewhat comparable, but Zidane's were spread out over a longer period.

Cristiano Ronaldo just isn't in that company IMO.

I gotta go the team with the 2 best players of the 6, even tho their 3rd player is the 6th out of 6
