Cup Final Day! In front of a capacity Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna, Kano Pillars defeat Niger Tornadoes 4-3 on penalties (0-0 at full time) to win the cup for the first time. Pitch invasion after the match by Pillars fans ruined a great mood.
The 2019/2020 season is scheduled to kick off on September 22, 2019 and end on May 17, 2020 Other than the Akwa Starlets (or Stars) situation (will they or won't they sell their spot) there isn't anything preventing the season beginning on time. Second Division NNL will announce their schedule when the NLO playoffs conclude at the end of the month. If the season kicks off on time it will be the first time since 2009-2010 season (Won by Enyimba [emoji41]) that the season followed the "European" calendar.
