This game isn't necessarily being played in Italy. Rumor is that it will be played at Craven Cottage.
I'm very interested in the venue. Friends and I are about to book flights to UK for the England match and I would really like to know about the Italy game venue for planning purposes.
The Thanksgiving Week timing of this this is probably a blessing and a curse for traveling fans. I think this would be a fun cross-Atlantic trip, but I think I'd get overruled by family.
Do you have a source for this? I booked the trip to London with my buddy to include this date. This would be solid if true.
From Steven Goff: Meantime, multiple sources said the U.S. friendly against Italy on Nov. 20 will be played in Belgium, probably in the city of Genk. Italy, which is arranging the match, had planned all along to use a neutral site in Europe. The game will come five days after the United States faces World Cup semifinalist England at Wembley Stadium in London. https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...ombia-peru-friendlies/?utm_term=.077100fb6f86
Can someone explain to me why the US and Italy are playing a friendly in Belgium? Why would any Belgian living in Genk go to this game? Why wouldn’t Italy want to play in Italy? When two South American teams (or Mexico) play in the US it makes sense given the loathe number of immigrants from those countries but who is gonna be at this game in Genk, Belgium?
