im not defending him but Cardona by the quotes I read feel like the coaches didnt let him play and chose others plays over him just cause they felt like it.

I also read that Lara thought he came back to one of the mini camps overweight and at toulon felt it was more important to showcase himself rather than win the tournament.

Im confused cuz i thought the toulon tournament was for showcasing.

imo the players play are to try to play their best and try to help the team play thier best. Not win an ugly 1-0 game by playing anti football. just tackling and punting the ball.

I've seen all the time where maybe youth players didnt win in the youth category but at the senior level did amazing.

Spain has great players and a true National Team. they play like a team, although most play for Barca. they didnt win every youth tourney but the federation kept coaches that inturn kept the team together.

Cardona played well, the team played well, if they call Teo which has so much bad publicity why not call cardona?

Sachi made it seems like Cardona quit, if so that is a good reason to start someone else, but if its cuz he thinks he's awesome are wants to play in europe and is cocky about it then why do the coaches keep calling Teo and other players that act the same. inconsitency, macnelly stated even before the ink dried with his contract with nacional is that he came back to play for La Sele. So if the criteria for Sachi is that players cannot have alterior motives, idk if he is being consistent.

I pesonnally think Lara failed, for one he is an adult and he was coaching kids. He should have been more authoritive and found a way to make cardona do want was expected. he was a youth coach, the idea was to develop talent and build a team. If the morale was disrupted that is one thing but reports say Cardona was left out cuz he wanted to play well and showcase himself. The tounrnament is call the hopes of the future, its a showcase. if the team won then and he cared about winning then he contradicted himself. if he was building the a team for the NT he also contracted himself becasue Cardona was only second to Rodriguez as far as talent and hopes for him being an important player.

he failed with 4 coaches, i don't think they are the bad ones.......Sachi fires him and he said in public, that he don't want him (i don't know why you said that he is trying to show that cardona quit)

not quit the club, quit hustling.

Escobar benched Cardona and said "some players" didnt suffer for the clubs jersey and didnt feel the weight of the jersey, or the sort. Meaning that some players where half assing it.

idk only they know what happen. cardona had four caoches but i wouldnt have started him over Pabon, or G Moreno or Macnelly, so imo that shouldnt have been a factor.

Everyone says cardona half asses it and is a hack. imo he has talent and is cocky and thats not a bad thing. I just think that he is worth trying to develop. He says he feels betrayed and the fact is they got rid of him. He feels self worth, we all do. I feel he's talented and worth trading and dont condem his response to want to prove himself. Hopefully this chip on his shoulder gets him more focused then ever and he surpasses the expectations ppl once had for him.

If he was look over by ANY DT....was because, they had options....options under a team's regime or better discipline. Simple

    Yo veo esa liga!!! ;)

That is extremely important. Yes he had/has talent, however, if he doesn't work every single fucking day for earning the spot on the first team, then he doesnt deserve to feel betrayed.

I am not giving up on this kid. He is still very young and just needs good coaching and guidance.

He also needs to lose a LOT of weight as many journalists have already pointed out.

    Maybe.

In Pekerman's system though he may not need to lose a lot of weight. It is based more on fluid control of the ball on the floor and less running around and high tempo.

All I know is that he was one of the main reasons the Sub 20 was successful in Toulon. His absence was also one of the main reasons we did not win the World Cup in my opinion.

    I don't think so.
He is well known for his weight problems and indiscipline.
If he was so good, he would still be in Nacional.
He is another over-hyped player, who suffers from the Rodallega-Teo syndrome of having little humility.

He still is a great talent and very young. He has time to mature. I am not throwing him under the bus just yet.

Don't stop making shit up. Whens the last time any coach has said anything bad about Roda. He let the Sudamericana get to his head, then he over slept during his 1st month in Mexico after that no bad news from the guy. Roda has humility but he also has ambition. Him wanting to be in a better team than Wigan doesn't make him a bad person.

Does he deserve to be on the NT in current form? Hell not but he defiantly gets unjustified hate her and in Colombia. If Rodallega was white and from Argentina, Uruguay or Brazil he would have gone to a top team in europe right after the sudamericana.

Teo is an idiot and I hope he never gets an NT call up. We don't need his batshit in our NT. He currently compares himself to Messi. Roda did it while he was 19

Get a clue before commenting about things you know nothing about.
Ivan Mejia has talked about his discipline problems in Nacional a few times in El Pulso de el Futbol.

Even in his first game with Santa Fe last week, the TV commenters were talking about how heavy he looked when he took off his shirt, before he came in as a sub. They even did a repeat of him taking off his shirt.

To give you an idea of what Edwin Cardona is like.. here he is, talking trash about Sachi:

    http://www.elespacio.com.co/index.php/deportes-principal/45385-sachi-me-tracionaste-edwin-cardona

Funny how he fails to mention in the interview, about his discipline problems and the fact that he is a lazy fatass as a possible reason why he never made it in Nacional.
