I feel like I just watched San Jose vs. Minnesota United.

FT: 2-1 Newcastle. Yeds had a pretty solid match. He looked good pressing that right channel and they rarely conceded a cross from that side. Kenedy was surprisingly helping out a lot in defense as well.

I'm a little concerned about Yeds lack of participation in the passing game. The CBs were looking to play the ball directly over the top to him every single time. Rafa seems to have instructed Yeds and Ritchie to stretch the wings while forgoing possession in their own half. The tactics worked though and Newcastle got the result.

Never seen that "I'm 85 and I want to go home" ad for Etrade before. I like it.

I am stunned reading this. Why would Benitez's tactics concern you? He can use fullbacks any way he wants.

Well considering we struggle playing out of the back as a NT, Yedlin only completing 10 passes in a match isn't exactly what I want to see. Yes, Benitez is free to do what he wants, but I can be disappointed when our player is barely touching the ball.

next time, watch the game. He touched it a reasonable amount for a full back on that team.

You're like upside-down fan - you get more miserable the higher your team gets in the table!

There's a reason I hang around this place*. It isn't the Freddy Adu threads.

*(I mean besides the fact that I'm a nutless wonder who has no power IRL and has to play the Internet Stormtrooper to prop up his pathetic self image)
