Born in the Philippines to a US Army Air Corps officer; later lived in Japan and Guam; worked in Australia; Thailand, and Greece with the US Information Agency, then worked in DC with the Dept. of Energy. Long since retired. Saw my first soccer match in Greece; began playing in an over-35 league in Montgomery County, MD, played in leagues and then in weekly pickup games until I was 73.
