It will be difficult as the showing in the league hasnot been very good apart from about two matches iirc. He should start from scratch and leave behind all what has been said about him as a top talent/best u20 etc. You're as good as your last performances and those arenot favourable. Could be in his mind he already was there, who knows. However in order not to end up as a flash in the pan he has to pull a von Munchhauschen and pull himself up by his own bootstraps out of this misery.
They did. https://www.si.com/soccer/2017/09/13/erik-palmer-brown-manchester-city-sporting-kansas-city-mls-usa "Palmer-Brown turned down a new contract offer from SKC, but his Man City deal will pay him on a level among the top defenders in MLS."
What will be difficult? What misery is he in? He has been starting. If NAC get demoted he simply gets loaned to another team.
How was it pointless? It had a buy clause. He just underperformed. Seriously, can you explain what you mean?
Sending a player on loan to a foreign reserve team is a waste of time if the goal is development, and it's unlikely to result in a purchase if that's the goal. Asking questions so aggressively makes you look like an asshole though.
As I pointed at the Dutch league and even the low flying clubs are monitored by the big Euro clubs. So they have a good impression of how certain players are faring. You can be certain his performances have been processed and given the overwelmingly majority of his matches were bad (just search the thread I update with ratings of Yanks in the Dutch league), it's a no brainer it will be difficult to get interest of clubs that are any good. To get a good loan a club must be convinced you're going to contribute to the team. His stats this season arenot going to cause a stampede to get him.
Sometimes I forget how archaic MLS rules are. It blows my mind that in 2019, EPB after fulfilling his contractual obligation to play for Kansas City and leaving on a free transfer, can hypothetically play for any team in the world that has an interest in his services, except in his home country.
One of the quirks of being owned but not in the plans of a big club, however, is that there is a bit more leverage in getting you a loan, even if it doesn't mean you play. So as long as he's healthy, young, a prospect and getting a bit of time in a pro league, he's likely (though, of course, not certain) to get "placed" someplace. Then he'll have to fight his way in to the line-up. But City, Chelski, etc. juice does help a bit. If he was owned by Cardiff or Aberdeen or something, it's a different story.
He's a loan player, also for a next club. He's not a player that that club will have the rights on. So to take him in that club expects him to deliver, especially in the defense, they're not getting him in as a development project for themselves. Bad clubs need security to avoid relegation. So they will check how he did in that respect at NAC. As I said, it will be difficult.
I doubt it. City pays his salary. Some relegation fodder club someplace needs warm bodies. He might not play or even make the 18 all the time, but these days warm bodies are not cheap. He won't be able to do it forever but I'd guess he gets another shot or two, unless City decide to cut their loses.
Quite. But that wasn’t the goal for either club. The goal of the loan was for SKC to make money and the goal for Porto was to take him for a test drive. You may not agree with the point but that doesn’t make the loan pointless.

Watching Breda play reminds me of those Farmers Insurance commercials: "we know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two." Their overall defending is something you gotta see to believe how bad it is.
So he guides them to relegation but chooses to commit seppuku before they're actually relegated? Talk about awkward.
He couldnot watch the players murdering NAC anymore. I think he's going to be the next coach of de Graafschap, that left NAC behind on the direct relegation spot.
how are fans or critics feeling about the regular appearances of Brown as of late? Are they liking what they see (despite the impending relegation)?
