Some of these passes from both sides, you're like - how did the LM from my geezer team get on the field.
I tried putting Ritchie on the Lionel train, maybe even the Night Train, but I couldn't get Matt to pass the tea.
You missed it then! Not sure which Burnley playerr (Wood as per @neems) from the 16 or so - frozen rope, hit NUFC keeper who didn't have time to even blink.
Yeah, that shot made me yell. I'm stuck at home recovering from cervical fusion so my wife assumed I'd ruined my surgery and came running. Nope, I'm fine, sorry for the scare. Nope, I don't want to wear my horrible, nasty, itchy neck brace. It's great to be loved, though.
HT: 2-1. Newcastle hanging on towards the end of the half after Burnley woke up. Game in generally has been cagey. Benitez has been the main advantage with his tactical setup and set piece strategy. Yeds has been playing the entire right channel with Kennedy tucking inside often. A lot of his defending has been pressuring Burnley while recovering. Burnley did have a chance when Yeds and Schar were split in the beginning to the half. I'd say Yeds has been performing pretty well. Crosses have been into dangerous areas, but he really only has Rondon as a target, so the effectiveness has been fairly negligible. The only real weakness I've seen has been positional awareness letting him down defensively.
Thanks. It's actually a fix for an old rec league indoor soccer injury. Finally had to do something about it. Apart from being absolutely tedious, 6 weeks off work could be worse.
Yikes. I'm hoping for a dull-as-heck 2nd half them. Hope you have as easy and successful a recovery as possible. Be well.
The Burnley header goal looks better with every replay. At first look, I'd assumed he'd just gotten lucky with a ball that kinda doinked off his coconut.
Yedlin is really uninvolved in passing the ball. I'd be interested to see his final states for passing attempts.
50' Yedlin burst into the box to get on a through ball. He gets a touch on the ball but Hart deflects it away and Ritchie somehow slices the ball which fails to go into the wide open net. Almost a goal and great effort from Yeds.
56' Kenedy receives the ball at about 25 yards and take a shot well wide. Yeds was wide open and gets visibly frustrated that Kenedy doesn't play the ball to him in space on the right.
