"[Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy] students, CJ Lyle (CT) and Adam McCabe (FL) will be training and playing next week with Belgium second division club, Sporting Charleroi. ...“The stadium is fantastic and the 14,000 spectators gave it a great atmosphere. [Charleroi President Abbas Byatt] loves the USA and is very knowledgeable about the level of soccer in the States. He recognizes there is a lot of unseen and untapped talent. He is hoping that through our program he can tap into some of that talent. Our recent success with two of the RIASA students going to Finland has alerted them to the value of the American player. He asked that I send over two of our top players in the Academy for evaluation and monitoring by his coaching staff... Adam McCabe was the first student on everyone’s lips. Adam is very good technically, has a great attitude, is reliable, and excellent in the classroom. With his work ethic, along with his general lifestyle, he should do very well. Adam already holds himself like a pro off the field, and is beginning to show a lot of ability on it... I have also asked CJ Lyle to go on the trial as his ability is not in doubt. A recent performance in a game and in training, along with some frank discussions with CJ, convinced me it was time to see what CJ can do... We will see how both react to training with professionals and playing in their reserve team next week. They will be monitored for off the field behavior as much as talent on the field ... Karl Marten and Nick Pastuhov have been noticed by the Finnish contingent that came to watch a RIASA game last Tuesday on campus – they are very interested in monitoring their progress over the next months. In fact, I believe we have several more players that with a little more time, are capable of making the move to the professional ranks”. http://www.riasa.org/blog?hid=611 So Lyle is the bad boy, I guess... This is the all-but forgotten Greg Dalby's former club, demoted this season & in strong position to go right back up to the top flight.
"...Mar 14, 2012 ...Leeds is a great city, and Headingly is a lovely area... I am enjoying the football and everything that comes with it. Switching from the West Yorkshire League to the Eccleshill United Reserve team was such a blessing because it allowed us to play our football, improve, and have more protection. About two weeks ago I got to play with Bradford City Reserve team and the experience was phenomenal and I really enjoyed it. I have been in consistent/good form for a while, and I am just trying to develop, improve, work hard, and continue this form.... Sincerely, Adam McCabe" http://riasa.org/blog?hid=601#sthash.bSPY2zEw.dpuf http://adamsbloodyblog.blogspot.com/ "#6 Adam McCabe Position: Midfield Class: Freshman Hometown: Tallahassee, FL High School: Maclay School Prior to Vassar: Lettered four years at Maclay School… Named All-Conference his sophomore, junior and senior years…Made Florida All-State Team his senior year…Trained at Real Madrid Academy in 2008 and at CEFAR Academy in Argentina the previous year...." http://www.vassarathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2171 It seems like this RIASA program places a large number of Yanks on the Eccleshill United U-19s. See this roster, primarily US players: http://riasa.org/club/roster See this game review & the names matching up w/the roster above: http://riasa.org/blog?hid=1691 At least some of the players have profiles on the Eccleshill United site w/the U-19s, e.g.: -Caleb Burst: http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/eccleshillunited0102/259916/Players/view/2264243 -Ricardo King: http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/eccleshillunited0102/259914/Players/view/2264285 King played at Rollins College, which described him as Costa Rican (though RIASA calls him American): http://www.rollinssports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=19500&ATCLID=204941117 bungadiri: "Yanks with Eccleshill United in England"? Not really sure what to name this one, but that seems as good as anything.

Actually, goalkeeper Michael Bathurst, not Brenden Roslund, trained at Barnsley FC. It was for almost 10 weeks. Michael Bathurst is the one to the left of Jack Butland, wearing the Petr Cech helmet.
A short highlight video for goalkeeper Michael Bathurst at Garforth Town FC (which is in the division above Eccelshill United FC during the 2013-2014 season. He is wearing either black or pink (stone-washed red sounds better).
@Testudo - the goalkeeper in the video and MBGK are not the same. I am way older than the guy in the video.
