RP looks good. Balanta looks nervous (very typical of his starts = cold starts). Erik Correa playing for Gimnasia.

wow, Teo is subbed off starting 2nd half vs Colon. Not that he had anything great going in the 1st half but the whole team is flat today. He can't be happy about that.

I think Ramon is getting tired of Teo underperforming. Personally, I would never take him off because he has so much quality, but the guy has scored just 3 goals at River just one in the league and 2 in copa sudamericana. Cavenaghi, with 5 kilos too much, has more league goals in 3 games since he returned than Teo in 21.

I know Teo doesn't consider himself a "9 de area" but its really getting worrying that guy who scored for fun at Racing has just 1 league goal since he arrived.

So I don't think Ramon thought he was the worst player (Ponzio and the entire defense including goalkeeper were all SHIT), but I think he was saying wake up Teo. If you show the level you showed at Racing, Cruz Azul, and Colombia you should be dominating this league, but you're doing nothing. I certainly except Teo to start next game, Simeone isn't ready yet to be a starter IMO

Only one that can convince Teo to play is Pekerman. You would think everyone right now would be killing themselves to over preform. Falcao is most likely out of the WC and you have the chance of being Colombias #9. DO SOMETHING !! Yea Teo has pissed me off with club form and antics. He should have been suspended a couple games for his bull .... I thought the practice was somewhere else haha

I agree. He's there to score goals. Lanzini needs a more help in the AMF but I dont think placing Fabro would work but why not at this point. I do notice that Teo constantly makes runs into an open alley and seldom does he receive one easy pass. That defense though is seriously lacking. Maybe it was a good thing that RP isnt playing CL this year as this squad isnt deep enough to carry on more than 1 tourney.

Lanzini has been doing really well so far, but he lacks consistently. I have noticed that Cavenaghi and some other have been a bit selfish with Teo. I remember in the Gimnasia game, Teo was wide up on the left for one on one chance, but Cavenaghi tried to chip the goalie… However, I don't think its anything personal, Cavenaghi and Trezeguet openly didn't like each other, but Cavenaghi gave him 4 or 5 assists.

The defense of River is the biggest problem. All three of our starters got injured or suspended (Balanta) for the last match, so Ramon had to play a bunch of kids who aren't used to playing a back 3. He should have rearranged his formation to put a back 4 in place, but he didn't and paid the price.

Even though Colon is in a lot of trouble with relegation, their stadium is still known as the elephant's graveyard and its never an easy place to go

I think Teo will still be starting this weekend, it would be very stupid of Ramon to put him on the bench. Not just because Teo could actually help us beat San Lorenzo, but because it would just further complicate the relationship between striker/coach… And given Teo's past, thats the last thing we need.
