The New Zealand All Blacks will face the US Eagles at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday 1 November. The game, which will be played a week before the All Blacks begin their European tour against England at Twickenham, falls outside the International Rugby Board's window for mandatory player release from their clubs. Back in November, an Eagles team without most of its overseas professionals lost 29-19 Maori All Blacks – New Zealand's de facto second or third team (New Zealand A) – at a sold-out PPL Park in Philadelphia. The All Blacks game will be broadcast live by NBC. Soldier Field – which is available as its owners, the Chicago Bears, have a bye week – has a capacity of 61,500.
