Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. thats how i felt Belize NT always plays their games , very physical that it frustrates , with a few technical players, but i think that they missed is killer striker, and a defense that won't panic. 4 hours till kick off, here is to an amazing tournament, i hope its half as decent as the 2007 Superliga
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. Well, almost like i had predicted, if Deon Mccauly had scored that beautifull shot then it would have been 3-1... unfortunately game ended 3-0 as i said F.C belize played a physical game... too much maybe? what are you guys thought... where did the fail? how can they improve. I'm a bit dissapointed with the way these guys play, they could try for more technical play. I wish it was my team instead!! anyways, tomorrow is another game, lets see how the conquerers play.
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. not enough quick combos, they need to get cleaner and quicker passes, and they could of done some damage in Punta, the backline need to calm down , some urgency was needed in the attack and the defense . if they could of strung more passes and exploit the winngs fcb could of got a positive result there is definitely some exportable talent though BTW shane was class for punta
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. Whew!!! Conquerers tying with REal Espana after getting ahead with a goal by Dennis Serano!! While they were always under attack, they held on for the first half, lets see what the second half brings!! They are playing better than the F.C. Belize club i must say. a conquerers win? not likely ... but it doesnt hurt to dream!!
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. Well, i guess dreams dont come through! Conquerers almost tied with Real Espana. The RE guys were soo nervous in the last minutes. Conquerers put up a fight till the last 2 minutes. Woodrow West, the keeper deserves a big shout out... if it werent for him, it would have been a goaleada for sure. Somebody needs to hire that Kid fast!! he's got so much potential in the goal, even if not experience. I really give it up to the conquerers who played way better than F.C. Belize. I was gritting my teeth till the last minute, i couldnt believed Real Espana equalized.
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. was the game in Honduras or Belize? very good , but this shows that Honduras is not as strong as their Guatemalan Counterpart
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. San Pedro Sula, i'm going to the return game here in Dangriga Belize!!
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. Revolutionary Conquerers Beat REal Espana 2-1, but lost on penales in the aggregate! what a moment for Belize, we almost made it past the first stage, i believe it would have been the first time ever. It says a lot of the Conquerers playing at that level with Real Espana the champion of honduras don't you think? It sucks that the game didnt get the exposure as it was played in Belize and Gol TV doesnt pickup games played here. I wish the entire world would have seen that game.
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. that performance speaks volumes of belizian Football, but to be fair Real Espana is not a top club on the international level, depending on who the face on the next round i say real espana run to the CCC is done.
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. there FA is more part time then anything , last i heard there U23 are not even participating on the games to get to Bejing, i think its lack of funds mostly. its just something thats never been exposed by the media in belize, i would like to know why Belize rarely participates , they have a league that rival most in the Caribbean.
Someone explain Belizean football to me I was just down there for a week. I was in Placencia, which is on the East Coast and in the south. It's a tiny town so they have a combined team with another town called Independence across the Bay. They are called Tex Mar and have now won 9 consecutive games, outscoring their opponents 31-0 in the process. I went to their game Saturday night against Punta Gorda and learned as much as I could about the game in Belize. Here is what I know..... There are 2 leagues. One is a semi-pro league whose champion moves on to UNCAF and CCC qualifiers. Tex Mar is in not in this league. They are in a league called the Super League. Apparently they left the Semi-pro league because this Super League has a higher reward attached to it. There is no promotion and relegation between the leagues. I think the Super League is not affiliated with FIFA. I would be very interested to learn more about the structure in Belize. If anyone is an expert please write as much about this subject as you can. Thanks!
Re: Someone explain Belizean football to me All I know is that they belong to Guatemala and it sucks that politically they had to divide us because they are our Brothers. They will play there qualifying games en el coloso Mateo Flores in Guatemala City,.

Re: Someone explain Belizean football to me I've seen those sites. They're no good. The content is horrible and it's out of date. It doesn't help me at all.
Re: Someone explain Belizean football to me I always wondered the deal with Belize, my parents told me that it used to be a state of Guatemala but when I look at encyclopedias it is referred to British Honduras. My uncle said that he served in the army when Belize was trying to gain independance and that there was some kind of conflict (i.e gunplay). Anyway, sorry about the stupid irrelavent post but I was just curious.
Re: Someone explain Belizean football to me Belize vs. Costa Rica in San Ignacio, Belize. I don´t know much about the game there except that its not fully professional. Nicaragua, the worst team in Central America, has a fully professional league, while Belize doesn´t but as won most(if not all) head to head matchups.

Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. SAN SALVADOR.
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. BELMOPAN, Belize: The government has announced that Belize is boycotting the upcoming World Cup qualifying football match to be held in Guatemala City on February 6,2008 between Belize and St Kitts and Nevis. The government has called on players not to attend the game. Prime Minister Said Musa has said that to play the game in Guatemala City would be an insult to the sovereignty of Belize, especially since the game is being termed a “home” game. Since players may be financially affected by their decision not to play, the government is calling on the private sector to collaborate with government in ensuring that players will be adequately compensated for any financial loss. http://www.caribbeannetnews.com/sports/sports.php?news_id=5742&start=0&category_id=8
Re: Any Question on Belize Football.. The government announced they were boycotting FIFA and the UDP and members of the community vocally opposed Belize playing the home game of its World Cup qualifying match in Guatemala. But Football Federation of Belize President Dr. Bertie Chimilio has remained steadfast – and the 20 member national football selection will leave Belize for Guatemala City sometime this weekend. And it’s in Guatemala City on Wednesday afternoon, February 6th that they will play against St. Kitts at the Mateo Flores Stadium. The roster of players include Carlos Slusher, Shane Orio, Deon McCauley, Deon Frazer, Harrison Roches, and Ryan Simpson. The coach is Palmino Salas. The team spent the end of this week playing test matches in the Peten area of Guatemala. They reportedly won one game and it was a draw in the second. Again the home game cannot be played in Belize because none of our stadiums meet FIFA’s standards for security and infrastructure. Football Federation of Belize President Dr. Bertie Chimilio has maintained that it would have taken less than two hundred thousand dollars to repair the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga. The FFB says government dragged its feet and that’s why the stadium isn’t ready http://www.7newsbelize.com/index.php#story1
Do you know of any Professional Football Players in England with Belize parents or grandparents? Many teams bring players with these qualifications to their National Teams. Thanks. Lucky Luke
