Haven't had a chat about our draft team in ages. I'd say we'll end up middle of the pack, maybe top half.

Perkins hasn't been grea. Our defense: magnificent. Dunivant has been a rock, Parkhurst finally got another US call-up and looked good, Marshall has been solid, Moor has quietly had a great year. The forwards let us down, Weaver has been the suck and Davies didn't repay our faith in him. The midfield has surprised. Convey had a strong bounce-back year, Mapp found his feet in Philly. Evans was on his way to a terrific season, but that injury was a blow. O'Rourke has had a few injury problems also.

I know it was only Lecce (who actually have signed a couple of decent players with International experience), but they completely controlled the match, and did this with three players staying ahead of the ball throughout almost the entire match.

It was one of the most enjoyable matches I've watched in the last 12 months, if not the most.

Something that we have lacked for a while due to the players in our squad. We have too many players that focus more on what they do with the ball, rather than what they do without the ball.

That's exactly the kind of personalities and characters missing from the game nowadays, don't you think? The hell happened to the Effenbergs or Keanes or Kahns?

What I don't understand, is that due to Hodgson's cup run against some very poor teams, people seem to forget that he finished 12th in the league behind Stoke, Blackburn and Birmingham, scoring 39 goals in 38 matches yet still conceding 46 goals, with 46 points. That points total is usually regarded as two wins above relegation safety.

Weaver and Moor both scored tonight. Convey got his 7th assist mid-week, Perkins finally got a clean sheet, Mapp and Evans got assists tonight, Nakazawa is starting for Philly recently, and Dunivant is solid as hell. Good stuff.

Could you look into creating a sticky for these guys with blogs to post to rather than having them create a new thread for every flippin' post?

Ya know, I almost forgot Mapp was on our team. Good for him, if he can turn things on from now 'til the end of the season, it's a massive bonus.

Thanks for the kind words. I spend most of my time in the referee forum. There's been some talk of creating a coach/referee forum for both sides to have a civil discourse in matters that sometimes lead to conflict between the two camps.
