Hi! I spent 6 years in State College - for masters and PhD. Nice to meet a fellow Nittany Lion! Thanks for the link. I will look at it. We currently live in NYC and I looked at a ton of clubs for her (my spouse was too busy with his college and club teams to be of a lot of help and he wanted me to become as informed as possible so I could help make "informed" decisions). We ended up going with PDA out of NJ. One of the best clubs in the nation for girls soccer. When we lived in KY the closest "elite" club was Javanon, and that was almost 3 hours away. I hope my two posts make more sense about where I am coming from. Sad to say, I didn't do soccer growing up. I did the debate team in high school and college (and coached Penn State's team as a grad student). I hope this gets to you. I read this site often but don't post too much. It's my diversion right now (college prof heading into the last week of school and I have a ton of grading I am ignoring). Care to share about you?
NitLionFan, BTW, I went to Penn State too and spent 5 glorious years in State College. Anyway, I told you about a list of things to look for in a good coach. Here's a link to a thread from another message board that discusses the subject. Hope you find it useful. http://andagain.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=4952848
