Last semester eh? Your a lucky one then. I changed majors from Journalism to a double major in Athletic Training and Secondary Health Education, with a minor in Coaching and Communications. I am pretty busy. What are you studying?

I wouldn't say that I have been able to follow the Serie A that closely, but those are the only other games I get a chance to see on a consistent basis apart from EPL games. FSC has really pushed the Serie A this year in their programming. I also watched a lot of the CL group games so I have a general feel of what all the major teams in Europe are like.

I am glad to see you appreciated my Keane to Everton Loan rumor! :D

The scary thing is what Keane's future might actually be.

My sister-in-law, her husband and two kids live in New Paltz. We go there everynow and again. Both are investigators for the NY State Police. Nice to keep on you good side...LOL. They are good people though. I'm glad to have them as "family".

I do travel a lot but I'm not complaining. I get to bring my wife with me everynow and then so if she can take time off work it kinda works out a bit.

In January I am going to the Bahamas for work and in February Cozumel and Belize. Yeah, that is the nice part. Not so nice when my trips take me to places like Dallas or Atlanta - even L.A...blah...I hate that city!

It keeps things interesting though but there is nothing like being home in your own bed. Good luck in the job hunt. Don't worry about automatically finding something you like - get the job that will give you the experience to go where you want 3 or 4 years down the line.

I hear Palin is looking for a campaign manager for 2012! :)

Nothing much...working. I was in Vegas for 10 days last month for a trade show. Fortunatly my wife came along and we were able to catch a show; Le Rêve. Awesome show. We saw The Beatle's Love a few years ago by Cirque du Soleil - also great. Didn't do much else since we had been there before many times and honestly, at the end of the day, I was exahusted. A cold drink and the hot tub was all I needed.

Other than that, nothing too exciting going. Heading to New Paltz for Thanksgiving.

      You?

Yeah I am lucky, but it's because of my dad that I got into this. When I was 17 or 18 he explained why I should probably do civil and i went with it as I had no specific plans anyway.

There must be other grad schools for you in state besides those two in case you don't get in? 3.6 is really high even for a Columbia by my reckoning. I need something like 2.7 to 3.0 and anything above to transfer to a very good college...that includes like a Cornell. So I have some margin for error as I don't care if I go to the top of the line schools or the ones below.

I can't get loans cos I'm an international student. But I have money budgeted for this to be able to pay 20-25 grand per year without any help (Morrisville is 22). Of course it helps massively that I was able to cut one year off the time at morrisville so that money can now go toward the transfer school.

If I go to a public one it will cost 20-25 grand altogether like morrisville is. A private one costs more but depending on the scholarship amount I could have to pay between the same amount and zero I guess.

Do public schools give financial aid?

what gpa do you need? Columbia is in NYC right? You probably have some sort of agreement between hunter and Columbia in that case, which helps.

I am looking to transfer to any decent to good college. I dont exactly want or need MIT. I am virtually ruling out cornell or MIT or ones like that which have a humungous workload because Im not the type who wants to break my back studying.

Also, where you got the degree from counts only for the first job and my dad is a civil engineer with contacts in most places around the world so I'm pretty much in. So I don't need a MIT or cornell either. Basically that leaves any other normal workload private or public college anywhere in new york or new england or maybe arizona cos it kinda gives me an equidistant place from here, aus and nz. Of course, private colleges I'll need a good sized scholarship for so i'll need pretty good GPA.

Do you have any idea how much private colleges hand out for scholarships and what gpa you need

By the way the weather here is extreme. In just 20 mins the whole car park in front of my apartment building was totally fogged out

      Do you have any idea

it's going quite well. well it was till this past week where i got a cold with the heavy head and all that and fell behind on my work.

upstate is very much like NZ and you don't feel a difference. And the weather so far has been nz-like too.

one thing I've noticed is you guys aren't as environment conscious as the people in nz and aus!

i'm being really focused so far and I don't do anything but class and home...I only have 1 year here instead of the usual 2 :) So i need good grades immediately to transfer to a decent place.

my living arrangement is awesome though. It's a full-on apartment for 4 with everything, which is only shared by me and another guy so far. I doubt you could get better than this at even a private college.

Which college do you go to?
