Does anyone know if it is possible to watch soccer games live online. I just arrived at college and I don't have access to FSC or goltv. I'm a big fan of the champions league, premiership and the big european leagues. Can any one help with this?

Coolbits is a program for watching tv channels online but i'm not sure if its working. There is a Chinese site called CCTV5 that shows quite a bit of games, but i'm not sure if it show those u mentioned. Just go to CCTV5's website.

There are tonnes of sites, type "free football on pc" ( or something similar) into google and take your pick from the results some may charge.

Ok, whenever someone posts this question on here I always respond and I don't know why, I just can't help myself but I swear, this is the last time!!Just like the 0-point said, there are many sites out there, some are free, some you have to pay for but here's a few pointers.

    Firstly, the free methods.

Search for programs called PPLive, Coolstreaming and Sopcast and download them. They are all p2p programs, kind of like torrent sharing and the more people connected to a stream the better the stream will be providing your internet connection is fast enough. I'd say 512Kb is the bare minimum you could get anything like a decent stream with but anything at or over 1mb should work perfectly.

Coolstreaming and PPLive are the 2 you'll want for premiership games, SOPcast is probably only any good if you want Italian games.

PPLive is probably the best of the 3 pieces of software, once you've launced it, a small silver icon will appear at the bottom right hand corner of your monitor in the taskbar, right click on it and select the 4th option down, this will now run the program in English rather than the default language of Cantonese. Right-click again and go to channel list, select a channel and you can watch it. To find out what's on PPLive go to http://www5.pplive.com/english/programlist.shtml or http://www.pplive.it/ (second option tells you the actual shows that are on instead of just a list of channels) and click play to watch or to http://en.coolstreaming.it/forum/ to find out which games are going to be on that day.

There are also many football forums that will list all the games on PPLive together with links, these sites are easy to search for, 3 of them being at www.freefootball.uk.tt , www.football4less.com and www.freefooty.org as well as http://en.coolstreaming.it/forum/ with football4less being a particular favorite of mine. You can also find out what's going to be on CoolStreaming and SOPcast, with links in the forums on these sites. In addition to these they will also give you links to streams that do not require software including an Israeli TV station called Livesports.

Livesports is to be found at www.livesports.co.il register, respond to the email they send you by clicking the long link in the middle (it won't make much sense unless you speak hebrew), wait 24-48 hours and you should be able to log-in, view the schedules and watch games, alternatively the Livesports links can also be found in the forums listed above as well as many others without the need to register directly.

That's probably enough to get you started and will give you tonnes of football but in case you want a little more you will have to pay. There are many pay-sites out there, 3 of which I have tried and more that I have looked into. Some are good, some are bad, some are excellent, some are scams so be careful!! but I don't really want to talk about them in case I'm accused of spamming.

    Good info here.

Question: Have you had any technical issues or bugs on your system from loading and/or using these outlets?

    Thanks.

This is my first time using PP Live, and all I know is that I saw "English Premiership" or something on ESPN. I clicked 10 times , nothing seemed to be happening, I walked away from the computer and somehow Chelsea v Tottenham showed up. Now it disappeared again when I tried to click on the other EPL game that I think was showing...

Yeah I was able to watch it all too. The key is to clicking on play and just give it a couple minutes/moments, it will eventually load. Now I get to see highlights!

Right click in the grid area where it lists the channels and have google translate it. You get a little better idea.

But it's for having a specific channel to watch - like if you know Chelsea-Spurs is on ESPN at 10am, then you login at like 9:55am and click on ESPN. Even if you dont read Chinese.

Watched some of Boro-Charlton, watched all of Man Utd-Newcastle, watched some of Real Madrid - Cadiz

Quality (thanks to my beautiful 700m) is great, and even better when you remind yourself it's free.

I was able to watch RM's match in my garage while waxing the car from 10 yards away and see what was going on.

    Watching EPL games Live!

Hi. I have just started my University in America and am desperately wanting to watch the EPL. Could anyone please help me out? I live in a dorm and thus i cant get the Cable connected in my room(University policy). So it has to be Online tv or something. I read somewhere that there are free online sites where you can watch the games? is that true?if so, how is the quality of the games? I dont even mind paying for the whole season. I just want to be able to watch a good quality game. Thats all. Could anyone please help me out?
