Good that Olimpia loaned Rembrandt Flores out again but baffled that they brought back Jose Pinto and also signed Mayron Flores their midfield is too crowded. Axel Gomez is another guy that they should loan out to a smaller team.

I also hope that Bengtson leaves so that Benguche and Junior get all the mins up top.

Deybi seems to be out one way or another. Seems to be pulling the same stunt as he did at Motagua.

I think Troglio will rotate heavy.. He's stacked every where even at goalie

So we got a little over 2 months till we make our Olympic campaign debut against Haiti..

Players I'd assume that would be locked in for the Olympic team:

GK: Alex Guity (Olimpia), Jordy Castro (Honduras Progreso)

DF: Denil Maldonado (Motagua), Carlos Melendez (Vida)

MF: Kervin Arriaga (Marathon), Carlos Pineda (Olimpa), Jorge Alvarez (Olimpia), Edwin Rodriguez (Olimpia),

FWD: Darixon Vuelto (Real Espana), Josue Villafranca (Motagua)

    Fringe based on Clausura form:

Cristhian Calix (Marathon), Selvin Guevara (Marathon), Jeancarlos Vargas (Platense), Elison Rivas (Platense), Dylan Andrade (Honduras Progreso), Luis Melendez (Vida), Cristopher Melendez (Motagua), Jose Mario Pinto (Olimpia), Rembrandt Flores (Olimpia), Darwin Andino (Real Minas), Eduard Reyes (UPNFM), Kilmar Pena (UPNFM), Aldo Fajardo (UPNFM), Cristian Padilla (Platense)

    Fringe based on being abroad:

Rigoberto Rivas (Reginna), Douglas Martinez (Real Salt Lake)

List will shake out the closer we get to The Olympic Qualifiers in March.. Some names will drop, some will be added... this is just an initial list of names based on the Apertura season.

Need Jose Reyes to get more mins this season but I still think that he will get called up just because of his participation with the U23 thus far.

Alex Lopez to Alianza Lima rumors, it all depends if they can’t secure the transfer of another player.

He should have never returned to Honduras, he could have kept on playing in 1st division for years.

    Denil Maldonado to Pachuca.

Our youth signings to that League have not panned out, I doubt that they will even consider him for 1st team and will loan him.

It's a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.. I wonder if this complicates his services for the Olympic Qualifiers.

So I filed Denil's name under the abroad tab, cuz now with him being at Pachuca, I don't know what his availability will look like come Feb-March.

Our defense is super questionable.. especially if Denil can't make the tournament.

I've added Kelvin Matute's name to the list.. He plays wingback for Platense.. had a shoddy start to the season against Motagua.

Elison Rivas looked good in Peru during the Pan-American games, but his situation at Real Espana could come back to haunt him, cuz he's at Platense now.

Totally forgot about him.. His loan with Atlanta United ended I don't think they're renewing it.

Latest rumors were he's going to sign with Vida. I don't think they've made it official yet.. my hunch is his agent is working to get him back abroad, and is just using Vida as a safety net since they're secure financially now and have a pretty good shot at possibly WINNING Liga Nacional.

Decas needs to be called up, our defense looks super weak especially if Denil might not be able to make it.
