The reason Haland joins us instead of going to a bigger club directly is because the greedy chairthrowing fatso plans to sell him twice. First to us and Raiola gets 15M, then few years later when the buyout clause activates he gets to scalp another big bonus.

Is there a reliable source that is quoting the existence of a buy-out/exist clause? Watzke, after the Hummels to Bayern sale, was adamant about no Dortmund player having a such clause ever again and, as far as I know, no player has it??

Now paco wants to leave, apparently atletico interested in a loan deal with 30 mil buyout option.

30 mil would be nice but i highly doubt hell stay healthy long enough to impress at atletico to trigger the clause.

I don't see why the Haaland signing should impact Paco's time in any way, assuming he's fit enough to star ofcourse. There is always the option of playing him at either wing, which was a role he occupied at Barca, and with Sancho on his way out come summer ... it wouldn't make much sense to drop a player of his calibre. I think we forget just how good he is, seeing as he rarely sees much of the field lately. I'm also really interested in seeing if the 50mil buy out clause rumours are true ... assuming they are, I have to wonder what the point of bringing him in, to suffer another Gotze, was ?
I also don't expect to see Haaland sticking around past the 2 seasons mark ... just another one night stand, to sate the emptiness for a moment.

Paco cant play on wing, he is too slow for a winger.
Unfortunately, he is so injury prone, there is a posibility that this guy will never be able to play more than 15-20 games per season anymore, something is not right with his health. You can have Messi, but if he cant play more than 30% games in the season, whats the point?
I would sell him for a right price..

There is no release cause in Haalands contract.

We need 2 strikers. That's the point. A good manager can find a way of giving 2 good strikers as many minutes as possible (not necessarily at the same time on the field.) And management can try to convince both that they are equally needed.

BVB have a genuinely good squad that can compete for the Meisterschalle and get past PSG, but all that potential is sadly wasted in the incapable hands of Favre.

I don't like it. It seems that we won't be looking for another player to fill that position. If Witsel cannot play, who would take his place? Delaney?

I think we will go for some midfielder also, Can is the target i see, again we are competing with Manu.

I would like us to sell Larsen, he is not the quality for us.. Schmerzel definitely needs to retire

Today's snippet from Kicker's exclusive interview with Schmalzer where he states that he had agreed a transfer in the summer of 2018 with a foreign club which would allow him to also be a coach while still playing (he states that his desire is to go into coaching at the conclusion of his career) but the club blocked the transfer.

While I do not know the background of this story, it definately paints a bad picture of the club if you're not granting a wish of a loyal player (who is obviously no in any plans of the club) to leave....

True, that's the other side of the coin. For every player that we complain about that left us, there are those discarded by the club or held back as cover and then they get rarely used for a year.

And now there is news that Alcacer is allowed to leave for a good offer. I'd prefer to at least keep him this season because one of the reason we needed another striker was to have alternatives in case of an injury. He was great in the first part of last season and started this season so well.

    On loan ...

    Reyna needs to be blooded.
Emre Can is terrible ... almost as terrible as Mourinho as a coach and that's saying something.
Selling Paco is a mistake !
