Joao Felix is a great player. I hope he plays well at Euro 2020.

LOL played so amazing that he was subbed in the 66' minute.

It's amazing how much of a stretch people have to go through to make every one of Felix's touches seem amazing to make up for the crap he does when on the field.

He's been embarrassing for Portugal, and besides a few flukey goals has done nothing for Atletico besides show Simeone that he needs to be subbed out.

The thread title stands. Hype is hype, results are results and this kid has not produced any results and it's a slap in the face to the other Golden Boy nominees who have put in phenomenal performances, and have the stats to back up their claims to watch Felix win an award he doesn't deserve.

I'll gladly change the title when he lives up to 3/4's of the hype he's been given. Not even the full hype is needed just contribute something besides 1 an almost assist a game. Deco, Rui Costa, Cristiano, Moutinho have like 3-4 "Put it on a platter" a game if they aren't scoring or assisting. I don't see how one pass equals a great performance when your own coach continuously subs you out early.

When has Moutinho ever put 3-4 on a platter in any game ever in history LOL. How come Atletico werent winning games with ease and scoring with ease when Felix was out injured? Why does 70 million Lemar have 0 goals and assists? How come Gaitan, Jackson, Gelson and Gameiro all did nothing there? Why does Atletico struggle to win games every year and struggle usually only win by a single goal and usually a 1-0 scoreline? These questions all have the same answer and its ovbvious btw.

Also, Felix cant do much when his striker is Morata. The striker who gets benched in every club and fails everywhere.

    Atletico is ruining Felix.
I hate how so many players leave Portugal too soon. He will become another Sanches who also was a golden boy winner.

he Should have stayed at Benfica a couple of more seasons.

    It will ruin his confidence.
Some players who stay in Portugal at least show up to tournaments with confidence, guys like João Mario, Adrien , Sanches played well in 2016 (or maniche, Nuno valente, etc in 2004).

    "should have stayed at Benfica"

I agree all these actors should stay where they get to be the stars as opposed to trying to be professional athletes. Imagine being the "next Ronaldo" and Switzerland manages to make you look like an actual 7 year old?

I don't recall Ronaldo's stat padding doing anything for the national team but I do recall Adrien, Maniche hard work Bernardo, Figo, Costa, Decos creativity Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho world class defending taking us to finals.

I analyzed Felix game against Villarreal. He had a good game hopefully gets some
Goals soon. The team in general has been struggling of late.

Ronaldo was fundamental in euro 2016 win even though he was injured in the final his leadership was important, he also had 3 goals and 3 assists in a tournament in which we only scored 9 goals.

I have reviewed the tactics in depth of euro 2016, it is clear that William Carvalho was arguably the most fundamental.

In the boys team I coach I teach my defensive midfielders to play like William and show them videos that I save and edit of his play.

I reviewed the atletico locomotive match.
Felix had a strong all-around performance. His penalty was expertly taken.

I’ve added his penalty to my compilation of top class penalty kicks. I keep a disc with about 150 examples of top class penalty kicks and provide copies to the boys I coach at the beginning of the season and review them in pieces when we train penalty kicks in practice or for tournaments.

Another game with no goals or assists but I'm sure he "put one on a platter" at some point in Atleticos 2-0 win.

Actually I'm sure the goals were all because the defence was just watching him lol

Jesus F Christ, give it a rest. He played well. He moved well, distributed the ball and got very unlucky his header bounced off the post. Should have scored on a breakway - the keeper made a good save. But he's moving well and getting in positions. The reasons he's getting subbed is that he's gassed. I'm not an apologist for him. I think he's a young talent who needs to prove himself. But give him time. Stop trying to crucify the guy every game that he fails to get on the score sheet.

you know he doesn't watch the games right? Hes the type of person who just looks at stat lines and only rates players that are fast and strong.

Atletico fans are very pleased with Felix so far. The people who actually watch all his games and have no reason to show any favorable bias towards him

So many platters today .. but this time they were served to Felix and he scored a hell of a hat trick including a goal from half!

...lol or he missed a bunch of easy ones

Worst player on the field by a country mile. The rating is based off of passes completed, dribbles completed, shots on target.

Lol. He got the "Golden Boy" and everyone making it seem like he's the next Ronaldo. Dude's overrated Benfica trash, just like Sanches. Tired if hearing about this scrub.
