Does Newcastle have any organized fanbase in the US like say Schalke or even Fulham has? They should do their upmost to try and pull a few American fans while they have Yedlin.
Yup, the ToonArmy USA. Incidentally lots of Seattle fans follow the Toon because Yedlin. Let's be honest years of shit ownership and uninspiring football have created lots of apathy towards the club on both sides of the pond.
I am also aware that a lot of Atlanta United fans at least casually follow New Castle because of Almiron.
Confirming that @yedlinny runs so fast he can actually fly. pic.twitter.com/TbNkcUt3IV— Premier League USA (@PLinUSA) November 13, 2019

have this on and i cant believe how much almiron is pressing. remember how brightly he started and then the end product doesnt materialize and we end up here, watching painfully.
They scored a second in identical fashion, but this time the foul causing the FK was by Fernandez. The Mags' right side, again, though.
Andy Carroll came in for one of their three CBs, so now Newcastle is playing a 4-4-2, which is risky when you got Yedlin and Willems as your fullbacks.
NUFC might want to consider marking the box. Just a thought. 69mins: CHANCE! Yedlin floats a cross towards the back post, Carroll shows strength to hold out Guilbert, controls it on his chest, then volleys an effort at goal, but it's straight at Heaton. Good control & technique, though. A little unlucky #nufc— Chris Waugh (@ChrisDHWaugh) November 25, 2019 Almiron just came off 78. last change.
Yedlin is not the best defender and that was an extremely clumsy challenge for the ball.... pretty boneheaded. His pace on the edge is legit though and I thought he did very well going forward for most of the game. He put several dangerous crosses in and was in a good position to strike a goal home several times but his teammates either shot or went elsewhere with the pass. Unfortunately, even though they listed him as a midfield winger, he essentially played his normal wingback position w/ add responsibility to get forward whenever his GK got the ball. As such, he was running up and down the pitch for most of the game and he was flat out gassed by the 90th minute. You could even see him give up on a play or two on both ends of the field towards the end of the game. I actually think they should try and put him in Almiron's slot for a game and let that kid rest... he is pressing and it is not good.
He's just playing on the wrong kind of team. His talent is self evident. He needs to find a team that rewards those daring runs on the ball. I think Hotspuds would have been a better fit.
I think I just saw they tied Citeh 2-2, but it's so unpossible I think I'm probably still in my turkey induced comma.
Shelvy with the nice shot from outside the box off a training ground set piece to tie the match late. MC always threatening but took an uber golazo by De Bruyne to get their second goal.
Absolutely shambolic defending on the free kick as 5 Man City players point at Shelvey and only one comes out,far too late to pressure.
