I tore mine wrestling when I was 16. It is still not 100%, decades later.

I've found yet another article on Tyler, this time from sportbuzzer.de

    https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/verletztes-rb-talent-tyler-adams-beim-guru-in-salzburg/

The problem is that I can't make heads or tails of the google translated article. The header part of the article seems to say that Adams is seeing a doctor in Austria because of his foot injury; however, the body of the article is talking about this Austrian doctor being an expert on rehab for the groin/abdominal injuries. I also don't really understand whether this article is saying he'll be back soon and he already had this treatment, or if he's just starting this treatment now.

Somebody with better reading comprehension help me out. Maybe a german speaker can offer some clues.

The only thing I did confidently take from this article is that Tyler opted to be treated by this Austrian doctor rather than the USMNT physios

I'm going to double post here because I think I have little better understanding now (but I'm not confident that my interpretation of the articles is correct).

rblive.de (a great website for RB Leipzig news) gave a summary of the sportbuzzer article - https://rblive.de/mannschaft/15000-uebungen-forsberg-therapie-soll-auch-tyler-adams-helfen-9982

They say that Tyler is being treated by the Austrian doctor for his adductor (groin) problems. Tyler's seeing this doctor because Tyler's foot injury caused his adductor problems to return.

"sports Buzzer reports, the 20-year-old now has to be treated because of his chronic adductor complaints on the last in Fuschl am See by the specialist Franz Leberbauer ... The recent problems were caused by a foot injury that has brought the entire body statics back into imbalance and pain."

I am fully ready for my interpretation of the google translated articles to be wrong though. I think he's just starting to see this specialist now because a separate article on rblive.de notes that Tyler wasn't at training this morning.

However, I hope I'm wrong and that Tyler already had this treatment and is ready to play this weekend.

I like these tasks. It lets me feel like I'm doing something productive by practicing my German when I'm really just procrastinating from doing actual work.

Anyhow, my reading is that he's just starting on this new course of treatment. At the very end of the Sportbuzzer article, it says that he's at least doing technical training again, but there is a light at the end of a much shorter tunnel for Halstenberg and Mukiele. They're both expected to be fit for this weekend. I take that to mean that Adams is able to do some pretty serious physical therapy type exercises, but is still a ways off from actually being available, unlike those other two guys.

    The google translate has it

The suspicion is obvious that even Adams similar to Forsberg labored on Scheimbeinproblemen that are very difficult to treat, as sports scientist Ingo Froboese RBlive explained . "As a unique selling point, the Franz Leberbauer method makes it possible to cure the particularly difficult-to-treat Pubalgia (pubic bone inflammation) in no time at all", promises the 64-year-old on his website of Leberbauers Klinik . The recent problems were caused by a foot injury that has brought the entire body statics back into imbalance and pain.

The "LVZ" (E-Paper) of today wrote that he will stay for a couple of days in Austria. upload_2019-11-18_22-26-5.png

The 20-year-old US national player is missing today and in the coming days, yesterday he completed his first session with the Salzburg sports scientist Franz Leberbauer and his sports therapist Sabine Schäffer.
Adams has been having problems for months mainly in southern region of his body. A comeback should be still possible this year. In 2019 eight more games are scheduled. Six in the Bundesliga, two in the Champions League.

Can it get any more frustrating? This kid has all the talent in the world... the kind of player you build your team around.... and then this. Gotta feel for the guy.

Another six months without playing and he's going to be the best we've ever produced.

So. It doesn’t seem like a return to the field is imminent. Unfortunate

The good news is Forsberg was out for 3 months and was told he may always have pain. He came back last season and was able to get to his old form.

Interesting translation. In the original German it says "in deinen Träumen." Something about trauma?

We just heard earlier this week that he was seeing a specialist in Austria... so it is good news if that appointment was designed to assess whether he was recovered enough to get back to full training. Otherwise it is just more of the same... because we have certainly heard/read this news before. <crossing-fingers>

It seems more if the same, honestly. Weasel words like ‘likely’ and ‘next week’. man, I hope he gets back to even 95% long term. 100% may be asking too much considering the nagging, chronic nature of this thing. He is a true gem of a mid-fielder.

    From rb.live:

"Ibrahima Konaté bekam am Montag erstmals wieder Einheiten mit Ball und wird erst in der nächsten Woche wieder voll ins Training einsteigen. Das gleiche gelte auch für Tyler Adams, ließ der RB-Coach wissen."

"Ibrahima Konaté got his first touches on the ball again on Monday and will not be back in full training until the next week. The same is true for Tyler Adams, said the RB coach."

Easy to remember when you love Schumann's "Träumerei" (reverie, dream-like).

PS: äu is pronounced like eu, that is, like the eu in Reuters (like oy). So it doesn't sound like trauma at all.

    From ligainsider.de:

RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann expects Tyler Adams to return to team training soon after his injury:
"Tyler Adams will also be one hundred percent back the middle of next week and soon be available again," said the coach during the press conference before the match against Cologne (Saturday, 18:30 clock).
