What confuses me is why were they denied if they were raised in El Salvador.

Because they are absolute morons, even one of the guys that voted against the naturalisation process admitted he had no idea about the bryan gil case and was just against naturalisation of foreigners

Yet they’re happy for American-born and raised players to be called up.

We might be losing him to Colombia.

    Colombia quiere a Brayan Gil

I like his style of play. Very similar to De Melo. Similar pace, catching the back line of defense unguarded for counter attacks, good at making goals with his head, and he can make goals with just one touch. We need a player that can finish plays along with Zelaya.

Curacao lose 2-1 vs Costa Rica and USA stomps Canada 4-1, now all we have to do is win these two games at home.

It almost feels inevitable now they either lose or tie one and mess things up themselves. Part of me kind of wanted to see Canada in hex since they have a golden generation right now and we have DLC so even making the hex this time doesn’t fill me with much hope we do anything. It isn’t hard to see a scenario were we finish with 2 points like last cycle.

We will most likely be last in the Hex but it is still a better option than to go the other route of classification.

Well we just got help from an unlikely source Saint Lucia of all teams defeated Dominican Republic 1-0 so another thing that goes in our favor but we need to finish the job.

Also DLC continues to show head scratching decision by not calling Pineda, citing lack of playing time yet Darwin and Fito were called... at least Punyed is back.

Honestly? Wtf is DLC even. Ugh that was horrible to watch. Portillo saved our skins and was easily the best player once he came on (he should start over Alas).
the only issue i have is this is kind of our starting 11...obviously for Pineda on the left and i would start Punyed over Darwin. And tamañas is out with injury. Lmao were ********ed. But hopefully we can make the hex. It’ll be nice to see ES crap the bed there xD

I don’t think anyone at his club cares about him. They listed him as an option for the expansion draft and if not taken will likely be cut or loaned out again

That’s been the story of Fito for just about his entire career always injury prone and out of shape. But MLS clubs don’t do their due diligence and just look at him as a name that will bring in Salvadoran fans, then they have buyers remorse soon after.

The one I’m bummed out about is El Ruso Flores I thought he fit right in with Portland and it sounded like they really liked his worked I wonder what happened?

I think he’s too short. MLS is a rough league, and he was pushed off the ball a lot. Especially since they played him in the middle behind Valeri, he sadly didn’t win in the air.

Hopefully Nashville SC picks him up. I grew up in Nashville and the Salvi population is large.

1-0 17th minute off a deflection and Portillo scores.

Dominican Republic is not scared in the least they are attacking and testing the defense. Also the refs are calling the flops from DR isn’t helping.

Edit: this team can’t cross worth crap they would be up 3-0 by now or 3-1 they were lucky in those first 30 seconds.
