Got a rumor? Here's where it belongs. Want to chat about a certain acquisition or exclusion? Here too.

There's an unconfirmed rumor floating around that both Nashville and Colorado are kicking the tires on LAFC GK Tyler Miller, who LAFC is expected not to re-sign.

I've heard a rumor that if the little girl says" "I've heard a rumor...." you'd better run.

FCC got more for Ulloa than I would have expected. He was basically dumped and the draft pick and TAM seem more like compensation for switching re-entry draft picks.

It makes me wonder if there is someone specific Miami expects to be available in the re-entry draft. But looking at last year's list...there really isn't anything but scraps there.

So, I was thinking and you know what might be the biggest position in flux this offsesason? Goalkeeper. You have two new teams (Nashville and Miami) that need a starter. Two teams (RSL and Colorado) have lost their starter to retirement. And two teams (DCU and MNUFC) had a starter that was on loan from a foreign team. Then you have at least two teams (Houston and Orlando) that may be looking to upgrade at that position. Then you look around and see that at Philly (Bendik), MNUFC (Shuttleworth), Portland (Antinella), Toronto (Bono), Chicago (Sanchez), and San Jose (Tarbell) all have a backup that played more than 20 games in 2018. Throw in the rumor about Miller at LAFC and you have a position that could be in real flux over the next few months.

You could add the Red Bulls and Luis Robles to this list as well, if rumors are true.

Depends on how you build your team. Nick DeLeon certainly isn't scraps, Solignac was misused his whole career/is better than his stats (and is a perfect USOC player), Ricketts can be a lethal 20m man and super sub, Mulholland/Toia/McNamara are all solid.

Did the Nagbe to Columbus deal ever get announced as done? I would have expected it before the expansion draft.

My point is that there is no one on the list from last year that screamed "I need to trade UP to get that guy in this mechanism where 95% of teams pass."

Either they know someone very specific will be available or they were like 'hey, how bout throwing that re-entry slot in?" The latter seems more likely at this point.

Or they are sort of anticipating that there might be someone of value available and it was a low cost trade (maybe added 25k in GAM or something). We will obviously need to see exactly who will be available but I sort of feel that there might be a couple solid goalkeepers in the mix this year. And since I think they might be premium this offseason it could be worth a bit of cash to be at the head of the line instead of all the way down the bottom.

As a Not Fan of TFC, I strongly encourage Toronto to invest to the hilt in retaining the services of Mikey "Most Important Priority, Eh?" Bradley. In fact, it would be a Capital idea to just pick up his option year for $6.5 Million and show this disbelieving world you can put your money where your mouth is.
    Do it. Do it now!

So, I saw the 2020 allocation rankings and players yesterday on MLS' website but today it is back to what it was in 2019. I saw that there were only a few players on the list that weren't transfer related on the new list so I believe that Julian Green, Junior Flores, Aron Johannsson, and Rubio Rubin are all now out of the allocation rankings. From what I could tell there wasn't a whole lot of value on the list as I don't think there is anyone that would come back that teams would be that interested in.

Alternatively sign Mikey Lopez from Birmingham Legion and save $6.425 million.

Thus exposing the previously secret "one Henry" rule in MLS north of the border.

What kind of contract did he have? Seems unfair to the other clubs for Portland to just nullify his contract. Lots of clubs would like to walk away from bad DP deals (Gio last year comes to mind) why should Portland get to do so just cause their signing has a substance abuse problem?

Maybe he was on loan and it’s no issue but if he had a multi year deal this seems dubious.
