And scored! https://streamja.com/gNk0 Great hustle on that finish. Must have watched Pulisic's goal earlier.
Like most Americans right now he plays much better for club than country. That's where the flack comes from. Most players get it. He's not immune.
Man of the match performance right now against the cherries. Defending with confidence. Picking his spots to get forward. Almiron with a great chance hits his own man in front of open net.
Hmmm seems like maybe the manager and his tactics might have something to do with that? The international game is different, but not that different.

After watching this, I think that VAR is a net negative for the game. It took away Yed's goal celebration, and the celebrations are a big part of the game. That pretty much sucks.
Or, if the linesman wasn't instructed to keep his flag down to allow play to go on pending VAR review, he raises his flag and wrongly rules out the goal entirely. VAR is objectively good. It's implemented poorly in some places, but it's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.
I agree with this. People forget that the alternative--games routinely decided based on easily avoidable refereeing errors--is worse.
I still hope to see Yedlin play in Serie A or La Liga someday but it's great that he's returned to form for Newcastle. He might be one of the few Yanks to have ever been been managed by a world-class coach (Benitez).
Not the thread for this, but I disagree that these missed calls are all easily avoidable. Especially offsides- that’s just a part of the game. And I saw this as a person firmly convinced that VAR would have awarded the USA a pk and Torsten Frings a red card.
