Big statement to be made right before yet another international break.

Happy this is at Anfield. Yuge advantage and it always makes Pep nervous.

Sean Cox returns to Anfield on Sunday for the first time since he was brutally attacked and left with life-changing injuries.

Sean comes from a small town outside Dublin called Dunboyne which has a population of 7,000. A group of musicians, all from Dunboyne, have just released a single, their version of YNWA looking to raise money for Sean’s rehab.

What’s remarkable is the footage in this official video showing the huge numbers of people taking part in fundraising runs and walks done in Dunboyne.

I think we all know what sort of reception he’s going to get at Anfield!

The lineup will most likely be the Champions League final team with Lovren in for Matip.

The only change I could possibly see is Henderson being dropped for either Ox or Milner. Bringing Ox in would be a bold move, and he has a history of producing big games against City. Milner started on left against Leciester with Mane moved to the right wing. It allowed Salah to play through the middle. That’s an option he might go for again.

Both managers have been planning for this game since the Community Shield. There is no bigger league fixture in all of world football at the moment. It’s the two best teams in Europe with the two best managers going head to head.

I am strangely confident so that’s an omen! Good or bad I don’t know

Pep is acting nervous and I hope that carries through to his team

I dreamt we scored the winner in the 110th minute with Benteke scoring so that was interesting!! [emoji23][emoji23]

When I lived in England City were in the third tier and Joe Royle was their manager. Getting bought by someone who has no business owning a premier league team doesn't make them a big club.

Put them in their place boys.

We didn’t do shabbily with Adrian, did we? Also, remember when we trounced Barcelona without Firmino and Salah? Teams, if well set, will raise their games in such situations. I think City will still offer a formidable challenge without Ederson all the same and I hope Klopp tells the lads that.

Fully expect a nervy game - with more defense on both ends than scintillating offense...

However...I would love to see a wide open game with the Reds victorious by a couple (or more) goals!

That Bond villain of a GK they have has never been a difference-maker in this fixture, so him playing (or not) doesn't interest me.

Now if Aguero went down, on the other hand....

By all accounts, he’ll be in a motorized wheelchair for the rest of his life and the upcoming treatment/rehab is to work on his speech which is negligible at the moment. The hope is that he might be able to speak properly again; it’s unlikely he’ll ever walk again.

Ah - so it was nearly as bad as they predicted. Fate, eh .....
    terrible.....

I kno wthat these days the vogue is to forgive and etc .... But all I know is that if that was my father that Roman guy would want to hope that I didn;t have the cash to hire some nasty Russians and rent a cabin somewhere in the lonely Italian Hills where the screaming wouldn't be heard.....

Tactical battle will be interesting as they sat back in this fixture last year

If they attack then it could be 4-3!

I do expect it to be more cautious than that

An early goal from either side could really open it up

A great chance to move 9 points clear of them

Need to take advantage of their makeshift defence, although they may be relishing having Lovren in instead of Matip.

Would love to see Mane shut Pep up!

Yeah - Mane isn't the kind of guy you want to be pissing off if he's going to be near a football you don't want him near soon.....
He's a master at scoring the irritated goal!
    do it tomorrow, Sadio...
