Bürki Akanji Weigl Hummels Schulz Delaney Witsel Sancho Hazard Hakimi Brandt Should we get 4 points against Inter or not lose against them, we'd have almost secured the knockout stages.
Schulz is absolutely terrible. Didnt like him before injury dont like him now. How is he picked ahead of PG is one of many LF mysteries...
I can't blame any player if the system is so flawed. The midfield is empty. The box is empty, when we finally get there. Can't score that way. Favre way off. Also, if you play the same 4231 for 99% of the games, then when you do need to switch it up (even if we assume this is the right switch to make) then your players won't be used to it. Too conservative Monsieur Favre!
We started decent until the goal happened but it's not a good game. I think Sancho is doing well considering the circumstances but our offense is struggling. Brandt is having a shocker with countless mistakes. If he's supposed to be the striker again, why not give him one of the creative roles, especially in Reus' absence? That is where he excelled and his form picked up last season. Even Bosz got it right. Now he's often in a position receiving the ball with his back against the goal. Kicker now changed the formation to a 3-4-3 but I got a bit confused at times. But what is obvious again, we are desperately missing a striker. The space we leave in their box is ridiculous. Maybe a striker or another winger would have stood in the right place to convert Sancho's saved shot just before the half. There were a few other instances were good runs were made in the box and then there was no one there as a recipient.
Penalty for Inter with one of the oldest tricks. Just put your leg in front of the defender and get a penalty. Bürki saves it.
LF is meeting 0% of is objective this season thus far... WTH are we waiting for?!?! Get rid of this chump
Game over and winning the direct dual got even harder. But we need a win now against Inter and Prague and hope that Barca beats Inter again. What is also infuriating, when Inter attacked, you could often see 5-6 people in the box. You can see the same with Bayern. We on the other side crowd the wings with 3-4 people and choke guys like Sancho to death. How easy it is to defend against us when we give ourselves no space to play the ball to or make runs into.
When was the last time you were satisfied at the end of a game and felt we played well??? I can't even remember...
Horribly ineffective. Again. I don't know if Mourinho is the right option, but it is clear Favre's tactics are not getting the best out of this team and he needs to be replaced, otherwise this season will be a flop.
I thought Bürki, Weigl, Hummels, Witsel and Sancho were the closest to CL level footballers. Just imagine what we would have looked like today without Witsel's resistance to the press and his ability to hold the ball. Dahoud showed that too which was the major difference to Delaney. Dahoud did quite well overall but he's reduced to only showing signs of what could be. Brandt had short good phases when the system got switched back after Akanji's sub. What a surprise. I'm not sure what the point of the 3-4-3 was against Inter. It's not as if it's a system that the team perfected. I don't understand changing it for this Inter when I look at their formation. It just didn't work out and shouldn't be played with Schulz.
To me it was a 5-4-1. Sure the wing-backs joined the attack but everyone was on the wings, no one in the center. So no way to get to dangerous positions. We have great talent. A lot of players showed leadership at different points in the game. But they were set up to fail. To me there's no point criticizing this or that player. Anyways.. Favre is clueless. I don't know who can replace him right now. I am 100% against Mourinho, because of difference in principles, and principles are important. Also, he's drama. But I think there's gotta be someone with some drive, balls, people management skills and a minimum amount of tactical skills. I wish we had a Conte or an Allegri... but that's just dreams. I wasn't expecting to get any points from this game, but I'm still mad.
There is no coach I hate more then Mourinho... Can't imagine having him has a coach. He'll do like Favre and PB and get early results then alienate all the players , chasing some away (Reus, Hummels, Sancho, etc) and then getting sack. He's only about one guy, himself and care for nothing else. We don't need that kind of people around our team.
The situation at Dortmund is quite similar to Bayern right now. With both teams having coachs not suited for the actual targets. Favre is a good coach in terms of elevating mid-table teams but not in terms of pushing a top side to winning titles again. BVB did look clueless last night against a clever, but otherwise mediocre Inter side. You clearly lack an instinct striker in the box, which was absolutely obvious in the summer and I couldn´t wrap my head around why Favre still sticks to his stupid false9 stuff. Also, what did Goetze do to not get recognized by Favre AT ALL these days? Hasn´t he been pretty much the best of the bunch in the second half of last season? Has he lost all his buzz from there on? I´ve seen him coming on in the Bremen game, and he was dangerous immediately there.
That was disappointing, I had hopes that Dortmund could at least get a draw. Now I fear you might lose the return leg
Well LF doesn't know the word 'rotation' so there is no way for anyone to evaluate any players from the bench because we only see them 15 minutes here and there if at all...
